Just been watching Mahunga - Mundine again and am wondering whatever happened to Kahu after he went back to NZ , will never see explosive power like that again in a Aussie ring - overhand right from hell. Watch Tonys mouthpiece fly into the seats at the end of round 7.
Hey guys, I can tell you, I spoke with Kahu about three or four weeks ago, he now lives in Perth, in the Northern Suburbs, he is healthy and well, but has some minor health issues only He recently attended, the past and present boxers function in Melbourne, he was with my younger brother and they called me for a chat , rumours a little while ago, that he'd passed away were just that, rumours. Kahu's he's a terrific bloke, very humble, and is a real gentleman, I am rapt to say, I fought on the Mahanga v Mundine undercard, then watched the fight live, which will always be in my memory Both Kahu and Tony at different times, finished their light training at Ambrose Palmers gym under Festival hall, prior to the fight, where I got to know both well to this day.
