I really like those "I am ok, i can step, my legs are under me, **** i'm ktfo standing up" stoppages too...like imagine the panic. You can see the guy realise he is tagged, heart sinks...anyway, possible trilogy?
Shocker? Kurihara is a monstrous puncher and he dominated the first fight early on but punched himself out. I think this was almost 50/50 in the rematch. Not surprised that Kurihara got him this time.
Yeah, in fact Keita was 3.5 dog at one point, 2 by last night. Just checked, it was 7/4 this morning, still pretty decent.
I saw +180 on Kurihara in the morning and took some of that. Crazy price considering how the first fight went and how dangerous Kurihara is.
Very nice. Sometimes you are better to jump on these earlier. Back in the day we used to get lunatic prices on some British fights before Boxing News came out and told bookies what they should be doing. But the internet ****ed that all up.
The limits for those early lines are horrendous though. A lot of clowns moving those early lines for like 50 bucks but often enough you can get some nice lines later on too and then you can also bet more on those. But the Kurihara fight didn't really have a big market anyway. But i managed to get down a few hundred on that +180 which is fine for a volatile fight like that.
Since Asian Boxing is dead, I think I will run a Japanese Boxing+ thread. Covering all the Japanese title fights, WBO-Asia Pacific fights and OPBF fights, regardless of whether it's Japanese fighters or not. Also perhaps a thread for boxers from 105 to 115
Roman Gonzales got sucked off by the boxing media for years. And the 115lbs division has had a spotlight on it for a very long time now. Hell, even the WBSS did a Bantamweight tournament. The little dudes get plenty of love, even in the western boxing sphere.
