Kalambay. His feet and jab are all wrong for Toney. Toney's output would be limited and he'd have a punchers chance only IMO. He could stop Kalambay but Sumbu's defensive radar was better IMO, and while he was hurt and dropped a few times, Nunn aside he rarely looked in trouble even way past his best.

I'll go with Tony. Better overall fighter.

I agree. Toney would have trouble with a guy like Kalambay. UD Kalambay

    See McCallum fight.

Sumbu was awesome to watch, a real stick and mover. Toneys feet were too often stuck in cement.
Just recently been really getting into the 80's/90's middleweight scene....so many different styles of fighterss a real treat to watch how they all blend together.

It could be an extremely close affair. Maybe Toney win s but Kalambay shoulda got the decision??
    It's a tough one.

That’s a tough one. Kalambay was a superb technician at 160 and fairly durable too. Then again James Toney DID beat both Mike McCallum and Michael Nunn - two great boxers who both beat Kalambay. It’s a close one. I’m guessing it come down to a decision and possibly a controversial one
