Kalambay. His feet and jab are all wrong for Toney. Toney's output would be limited and he'd have a punchers chance only IMO. He could stop Kalambay but Sumbu's defensive radar was better IMO, and while he was hurt and dropped a few times, Nunn aside he rarely looked in trouble even way past his best.
See McCallum fight. Sumbu was awesome to watch, a real stick and mover. Toneys feet were too often stuck in cement. Just recently been really getting into the 80's/90's middleweight scene....so many different styles of fighterss a real treat to watch how they all blend together.
It could be an extremely close affair. Maybe Toney win s but Kalambay shoulda got the decision?? It's a tough one.
That’s a tough one. Kalambay was a superb technician at 160 and fairly durable too. Then again James Toney DID beat both Mike McCallum and Michael Nunn - two great boxers who both beat Kalambay. It’s a close one. I’m guessing it come down to a decision and possibly a controversial one
