i thought kalambay desrved the nod but i wouldnt complain had it been scored a draw, i thought kalambay made the appropriate adjustments in the second half of the fight, i think winning the championship rounds is pivitol in a close fight thats why i give it to kalambay i had maccalum sweeping 5 of the first 6 however his rythm was dissrupted its a bloody shame what happened to sumbu kalambay even at the age of 34 he was a technical master of the ring i doubt any1 today from 160-175 could hang with some one of his skillset did toney avoid him in 1991 toney was fighting every1 back then it would have been a great fight to watch to old school defencive artists going at it
While its here I'll say Sumbu Kalambay has to be one of the most underrated fighters ever. I havent seen the second fight I'll have to watch through it at some point.
