i was not writing this to disrespect Bute, but some years ago Butes people should have said we will be back when Bute is Ready. He was talented so ofcouse team palle would try to make that fight happen. That was what i heard at that time, right or wrong.
And im not saying the regular canadian is a cheater:patsch:patsch
    just some bad dicisions lately..
And Kessler himself will fight anywhere so the fight are going to be where the money is.

I don't understand what you mean. Interbox and Palle had talks in 2008 for a fight early 2009, so obviously they called eachother. Both sides have talked about it and were confident that the fight would happen. No one ws ducking the other. I know you are not a Bute hater, you're a fan of Mikkel and it's ok. I like him too. Since he beat Lucas, I've always been on his side. I just don't agree when people say Bute received a call and didn't answer it. There was never a possibility. Maybe a little window when he came back from his injury, in 2008 (no one never had a source on that supposedly call from Kessler and I don't remember it), but Bute and Taylor's team had reached an agreement to unify the WBC title that summer. When Taylor lost to Froch, that plan falled apart. Matchmaking is not easy in boxing. You plan something big and then, an injury or a loss waist all your plan. The same thing happened when Pavlik lost to Martinez. The plan was Pavlik-Bute in USA. Now, people accuse Bute of not wanting to fight outside Montreal. He tried several times but each time it failed.

    :think

Are you a Stieglitz fan? You could tell us things about him. People here call him a paper champ. You think he would win against Kessler so I suppose you can defend your point.

Unless it's a joke, of course.

    No, not a joke.

I think stylistically Bute is perfect for kessler. I think Mikkel's good body punching and accurate straight shots would really give him a strong advantage over Bute and I think he'd take him to a decision.

Stieglitz is a different fight altogether though. He is a strong, front foot fighter who likes to go toe to toe and isn't as defensive minded as the stereotypical german fighter. I could see him getting in a brawl with Kessler and I think at this time, that is the wrong type of fight for Mikkel. I thought he aged a lot vs Froch and after the eye injury, I just don't see him being able to win those brawls any longer.

Stieglitz is underrated I think as well. His jab is one of the best Boxing today I feel and it would not surprise me at all if he was able to nullify Kessler at mid range and then take control on the inside if they fought

I haven't read through this yet but I imagine laffie is here saying that the guy who fought Mundine away, Calzaghe away, Ward away, entered the Super 6 to take on the best (home or away) is scared of the stay at home fraud that is Lucian "Lucy" Bute...?:rofl:patsch

Thanks for the details. I don't see Bute-Kessler the same you do. Kessler has lost his accuracy for a long time now. Bute, on the other, is very accurate, both with his feet and hands. Kessler also has problems against southpaws. Bute moves very well and would be a nightmare for Kessler.

We don't see enough of Stieglitz fights over here so I'll reserve my judgment for later.

Do you think Stieglitz would accept to fight Kessler? He has already refused one offer and 2 offers by Bute's promoter...

I'm not sure, I don't know much about him outside of the ring to be honest. I'm not surprised he doesn't want to fight Bute, I think he would lose there but I think Kessler is a fight he should pursue. It would be disappointing if he just continued to stay in Germany and fight whoever the WBO make a mandatory challenger

That's right concerning the bold. It was gonna be Bute vs Taylor in the US on HBO in 2009 (to be determined as far as exact venue in the US); Bute vs Pavlik was all but signed to take place in Atlantic City, USA in summer of 2010, but Pavlik lost to Martinez and HBO backed off...

I want to see Kessler go and fight Bute next. But somethings pisses me off....

After so many years in boxing, Kessler still has to travel. Why ?. He is the older respected fighter, but every opponent who calls him out, only wants to fight him in there own backyard.

Bute more than once turned down a Kessler fight - but now Kessler has to say yes before yesterday. After more than a year lay of and with some serious concern about his health, Bute crying for a fight. Kessler just has to come to Canada, and they have send an purse offer. Kessler just has to sign with out questioning - because Bute wants Kessler.....

Bute wont travel because of showtime, time-difference and.........bla bla.bla bla....
Bute stats all his demands and dictates his will so every advantaged is for him, and if Kessler don't except these demands, Kessler is ducking Bute......??????

Bute needs Kessler - but how much it Bute willing to do to secure the fight.....???

Lucy Bute is considering the fight because Kessler ain´t healthy in the first place.
Do you think Bute would want any part of a healthy Kessler?
hell i bet Bute will even demand some medical proof that Kessler suffers from bad vision before he signs the contract or theres no fight
Kessler generates most of his money in Denmark because of the huge ppv and gate prices, same for Bute in Montreal (not exactly Canada)
Showtime is only a minor player with those big local draws. They aired all S6 fights that took place in Europe on taped delay and they´ll air Kesslers as well as Butes next fight on taped delay as well. PPV @Montreal afternoon times and Denmark prime time combines more money than Montreal prime time and Denmark 4am. Theres no reason for Kessler to travel other than the fact that Kessler is highly regarded warrior who would fight everyone everywhere whereas Bute is one of the most disgusting frauds in history of boxing.
Butes record offers a bigger selection of tomato cans than any supermarket got. :deal

The best thing for boxing would be Kessler not looking good in his tuneup, only to get shipped over to Canada and find motivation like he did against Froch, and rid us of Bute once and for all, IN MONTREAL.

Kessler, even at 60-70%, I am sure.. is enough to knock that farce of a champion out, in his hometown.

Bute NEVER turned down an offer from Kessler because there has never been an offer. Read all the previous posts on this thread please.

Listen, on this one, Showtime wants the fight in North America. I would like Bute to fight in Denmark but I don't call the shot. I agree that Kessler should be able to fight at home more. He just did against Froch but he traveled a lot in his career. I won't deny that.
