Now, when Wladimir signed to fight Povetkin it is safe for Gaye's people to open their mouths. Gaye was seeking popularity and becuase no one knew him he decided to use KlitschKO name. He did not have intentions to fight the best just like he did as cruiserweight. After he won the title he picked Maccarinelli instead of fighting the best possible fighters. He took a domestic fight. The same is happening now. Gaye takes the title in a controversial fight and goes underground for months while his people prepare public for the "biggest showdown" with Audely Harrison. Afterwards, it may be Meehan. Gaye will let KlitschKOs do th edirty work and KO everyone dangerous. In the meantime Gaye will fight leftovers but will walk tall with that **** WBA belt.

I owe you an apology. Looks like you might have been right.

I can't believe Wlad makes a "Haye is a *****" video and doesn't come to terms of the financial agreement? That's the biggest kind of a ***** move. He wants him so bad but he's so strong about revenue? That's bull****.

the article is from 3 weeks ago.

How was Macceranelli not the best possible fight for Haye. He was ranked 2nd and has another belt?

It's amazing that anyone would hold Rafael up as a bastion of boxing journalism's integrity. The guy's a hack whose redeeming quality is that he's so bad at writing that he can't hide his bias. He's a columnist rather than a journalist.

Bunce is a different matter though. He's a proper sports writer AND a columnist. He criticised Haye for his promotional behaviour against Valuev, he has his newspaper work and his Boxing Monthly work, then there's his radio and TV work. The last three are where he shares his opinion based on what he hears from his sources. His work in the Independent is his straight journalism.

In all he cases he talks to both sides before reporting a 'rumour'. Now, he has man-crushes on his favourite fighters (he said Hatton would have the beating of Cotto, for example), but it's easy to spot when he does it.

Reporters just report what they hear. It doesn't make the truth any easier to find.

He actually put forward a very good theory about why Hatton would beat Cotto.......pretty much described the Margorito fight a year before it happend. Not saying it would but it was a good theory.

Never said "i didnt understand it"...

what i said was IMO I just cant see a guy like Haye who has been a talker since day 1 would accept being told to "stay silent" while they can talk when all he kept saying was "when I get a belt im equal to them in the bargaining position"

you never said it but you didnt understand it.

the contract to stop them talking during negotiations was in place from the origional Haye vs Wlad negotiations. It was made clear to Haye and Booth that it still stands now.

All we have from the Klitscko side is Bernd Boente. From Hayes side we have had Booth and Sauerland say they won't offer fair terms. The truth is somewhere inbetween Chef surley you realsie that??

Actually he does... through Valuev... who got a shot at Ruiz when Sauerland accepted Don King on the Valuev boat. If Sauerland has ties with Haye through Valuev, then Don King has too.
