Again, the quotes you gave say he wasn't part of negotiating it. If he is one of Valuev's promoters then it is all semantics in how he is involved. If he gets his cut, then he gets his cut. Nothing in what you posted proves he makes nothing off of Haye's next fight. The fact that it may be indirectly through Saurland (even if that is true since his contract I would guess is with Valuev) is irrelevant isn't it?

You posted a vague soundbite from Sauerland that shed basically nothing on the subject of the Wlad/Haye negotiations.

I'm not trying to be a dick, just tell me what you know.

 

I have considered the possibility that Wlad 'uses' CHEF in this way but have pretty much largely discounted it. I've read enough that I believe the relationship is more than business between CHEF and the brothers.

You've heard the old saying, "If you lie, have a good memory"? One way police know someone is lying is that they tell a story the same way, over and over in a robotic fashion. CHEF is way too conversational in his approach with what he reports for me to believe he is knowingly spreading false information. He has been 'precise' a few times saying he is repeating what he was told, but that is different. Overall, I consider him one of the best sources we have available on things Klitschko. IF Haye goes ahead and fights Harrison, then it will be very hard for anyone to discount anything he says.

Haye is under a 'gag order'. It is only binding on one party. Boothe's remarks to Bunce don't count as a violation of that order. Yes, Boothe did talk to Bunce but NOW he can't say anymore. You mean something like that?

 

I'm pretty sure it was after the Margo fight that he came out and said it, but that's neither here nor there - Hatton didn't have the physical advantages that Margo had in height, weight and physical strength. Also, it was pretty obvious his chin was less than stellar when Collazo nearly finished him. But I digress.

It's not amazing when you know the difference between a good journalist and Rafael. Rafael's great if you want someone spewing opinion as fact, but I don't. Bunce is opinionated, but he never portrays it as anything but. When he's being a journalist he's completely different.

You counted total buys that both Setanta and HBO had get, then estimated how many buys they were going to get in a next couple of weeks or something?

Reality suggests something that ACTUALLY happened. Not your version of events.

Haye never ever signed to fight Vitali. They were in negotiations and he got a better offer for fighting Valuev. He took that fight instead of agreeing to fight Vitali.

If you called every time a fighter went the other way during negotiations "backing out", then everyone would b ducking at some point or other. Fights happen because of cash common sense. If it doesn't make sense and it doesn't bring in the money, it doesn't happen.
