Kambosos & Haney, 2 young fighters that deserve huge respect

    George Kambosos and Devin Haney deserve huge respect for the mindset they have as young fighters and the hunger to challenge themselves against the best out there. Kambosos is fighting Lopez & Haney back to back, then Loma if he wins. Unmatched run in boxing today. And Haney has gone up hugely in my estimations by agreeing to this fight pretty much all on Kambosos terms and signing with a new promoter to make it happen. Showing the other young stars how it should be done if you really want these big fights to be made.

    Haney signing this fight is an embarrassment for both Tank & Ryan G.

    I respect Kambosos for not taking an easy first defence. Yet at the same time, Haney who is a fellow undefeated champion:

    - Agreed to be the B-side
    - Agreed to switch promoters
    - Agreed to switch networks
    - Agreed to fight in Australia for a lesser purse than he would have gotten in the US
    - Agreed to a mandatory rematch clause which would also be in Australia

    Kambosos got knocked down by and barely scraped past a mediocre Teofimo in the only world-level win of his career, yet he’s acting like he’s a PPV superstar.

    Props to Haney for accepting every single demand and making the fight happen.

    Because fans have been disrespecting boxers for years now. These guys know what's in store for the loser. The loser will be a hype job, bum etc. You know the story. So yeah, fans should have respect for them.

    That disrespect is almost always exclusively reserved for the fighters that talk a ton of trash and/or are unsavory individuals inside and outside of the ring.

    Like Devin Haney saying he'll never lose to a white boy, how he was going to author the most violent KO in history against Gamboa, etc..

    I have to agree. I don’t respect Haney because really what else was he going to do? Stay on DAZN and continue fighting washed fighters in empty arenas. I don’t even see this as a tough fight for Kambosos I think he is going to give Haney a beat down.

    Loma has been doing that his entire career. Haney gets the chance to win all the belts, and he will still be well paid.

    He is definitely making more money in Oz fighting Infront of around 60k with a share of the gate. He wouldn't get that in the US.

    So Pac, Golovkin and Loma have never been disrespected by fans? These guys are top notch performers, never doing or saying the type of nonsne you site as the reason why fans disrespect them. I'm of the opinion that boxing fans can be very difficult and always try finding a way to critisize boxers.
