THe rematch clause is for another Aussie fight, if I'm not mistaken.

It looked like he was beaten by the better boxer. I was surprised Kambosos didn’t try a plan B but he didn’t have many options. He’s a fighter with limited skills who was beaten by a better fighter. Despite having trouble making weight he looked to be in good shape and fought for 12 rounds. I don’t think any amount of training or strategy would allow George to beat Haney. He’s just a glorified club fighter who caught Lopez on a bad night. George will fade into obscurity after he loses the rematch.

Actually, his name still has value as a gatekeeper so he might have a couple fights against up and coming fighters who
want his name on their resumes. Easy win for any top ten LW fighter and even a few outside the top ten. Big name, small skills/risk, sounds like the ideal Tank Davis opponent.

And he is hittable, so probably a spectacular KO although his chin is great.

You have to assume Kambo's steam knew Haney's lead hand would be an obstacle. So despite all the training Kambo could not clear the first hurdle in the quest to defeat Haney.

Kambosos was and is a poser. A tough guy trading on reputation and falling in love with his power.

You need more than tattoos, a nervous tic induded constant head twitch and a big mouth to stay in the big leagues.

    You're an idiot.

The Kambosos that fought Lopez would get dominated in the same fasion because it's the same Kambosos. Styles make fights. Lopez was foaming out the mouth looking for a KO and got countered to hell. Haney stuck a jab in his face, kept moving, minimized Kambosos's opportunities to counterpunch, and outboxed him. Kambosos isn't good when he has to lead off and force the issue. We saw this against Selby. Even in the moments Kambosos did let he hands go he hit air because Haney had good upperbody movement and footwork.

Haney was a bad matchup for him. Kambosos would've probably done better against even Lomachenko

Kambosos taking way too much flak here. He’s a decent boxer who made the most of his opportunity vs Lopez. He was given zero chance in the fight and took advantage of the many mistakes made by Lopez.

I respect him what he has achieved, given he was the B side v Selby two fights ago and has spent half a dozen fights on the road. Unfortunately, Haney was and is too good. Kambosos has proven himself to be a top 10 fighter and I’m always pleased for any boxer who comes up the hard (ish) and gets paid. But no one wants to see the rematch - he could fight Tank or Garcia next and it garner more interest. If they go ahead with a rematch then it’s just another example of the sport doing the opposite to what it’s customers want.

Kambosos couldn't land when he did it didn't even mark up Haney like it did. Teofamo Jlo prima donna Lopez. Just goes to show Teofamo is onion skinned and glass chinned. I use to like Teofam Jlo Lopez.Until I saw his interview giving no respect to Haney and Kambosos. Still thinks he won and was robbed. What a dofus!! Like a kid that can't accept defeat. This guy right herre hope he gets sparked clean.

Would have been battered ala Commey/Nakatani. It would have been better for his ego but worse for his health.

LOL because he loses to Haney he gets battered ? The Lomachenko fans really think Commey and Nakatani wins make Loma a god when they aren't very good at counterpunching or fighting on the inside. Two traits Kambosos excels at. Lomachenko would not have an easy night with Kambosos. He would take it to Kambosos and have to dog it out with him for a few rounds. Perhaps all 12.

    Styles make fights.

Kambosos went to war with power punching Lopez. He was afraid of Haney. Maybe he buckled under the pressure of 40,000 hometown fans.

Lopez came looking for Kambosos and Kambosos took advantage. Haney did not. He was not afraid of Haney. He just isn't good on the front foot. Anyone who saw him against Selby should have known Haney would beat him. It was easy money. I've said for a while that Haney beats him

There is no excuses, he got beat by a better fighter. Haney was underated and Kambosos was overated.
