Kanat Islam Birth Name Hanati Silamu is a 31 year old 5'10 Light Middleweight with a 20-0 17 KO's record. WSB record of 8-4 5 KO's. This fighter is currently living in the town of Pahokee the great state of Florida, known as The Kazak (that's the way he spells it) has been wrecking tin cans left and right in his homelands. He was Captain of the Astana Arlans in the WSB, and performed in the 2008 Beijing Olympics where he took home Bronze at WW. He has a savage stalking Tysonesque style but also sets traps often, GGG comparisons would also be appropriate he seems like quite a beast, how well will he do in the big league who's knows but his power seems legit he KO's guys with 12oz. gloves on, and his skills aren't bad either. So check out Kanat The Kazak Islam, is he the next Kazakh KO Artist?:toney:toney:toney:toney

another interesting fighter I knew nothing about. Glad to know. Anyone that doesn't like these threads should go hang out at TMZ and post in the comments section on Floyd news, because that is where you belong.

They ought to make a special forum for all these threads they are cool.

It's hard to find much non-WSB footage of this guy, I remember looking a while back so congrats on finding something.

He's strange in lots of ways but an interesting guy and world ranked by the...WBA I believe.

He also ranked although low by the IBO, I had to go with Cyrillic to find some obscure footage.

What are they gonna call this kids fanboys if he makes it big though?:huh:D

Still. The kid's doing it the right way - 18 fights in two years and looks to be gradually stepping it up now. Let's hope we see a continued improvement in opposition from here on.

He's got the amateur pedigree and is working hard on building his pro experience and looking good so far. I give this Kanat a :good.

Incidentally the Altai are one of the places that's on my wishlist of places to go (hopefully alongside the Taklamakan and Baikal) though it ain't looking particularly likely right now.:-(

Great find CST. Showing us a new exciting boxer coming through the middle weights. Looks like a big strong fighter but so does that other guy Derevyanchenko, who he fought.
