I remember watching that Grand Prix a few years ago with my dad and we were actually talking about it earlier, it was amazing to see. Nice post :D

He also fought Hong-Man Choi.I think there bout is almost legendary with his bravery.Choi looked like he was swatting a fly.Iv never really understood why he fights at super heavy when his only 175lbs..?

B/c he's a poser. He has no legitimate chance of actually being a force b/c of his lack of size, so when he loses he can always use that as a crutch. But if he goes down to a weightclass that he actually fits in and loses, he can't use the crutch of "well he's a lot bigger than me..."

Kaoklai competes in K1 because the big money lies in winning the Grand Prix. You have to compete without weight limits in order to win the Grand Prix. Having actually made it to the Grand Prix at least once is a testament to the man's fighting spirit. His KO of Mighty Mo is a classic. However - history is not on the side of the smaller man. Andy Hug was probably the smallest fighter to ever win the K1 - but he only did it once.

I like how happy Choi is to beat a guy less than half his side. That's like Goliath dancing on David's body, and then saying, "You got pwned!"

Lets not get it twisted Kaoklai is mega talented. The kid won the GP back in 2004 beating guys well over the 200lb mark. The kid is only 24 and has over a 100 fights already in Muay Thai and the K1!
