Anyone interested? Last one was a really interesting fight (Was up on YouTube, I was hoping to link a couple of rounds here, but it's since vanished) with Denkaosan Kaovichit digging deep into his 14 year pro career's bag of tricks to out-hustle his inexperienced challanger to a fair close decision. The thing is, Kameda is supposed to be a pressure type and he tried to "over-box" in the last fight - supposedly, I've only seen that fight. So if he can get his body attack in full effect and keep the pace high, maybe he can overhaul the lead Kaovichit had on the cards. The veteran, for his part, isn't getting another chance at this level, so lose is bust. Fascinating one. Any interest?
Im very interested in the fight... more so than any fight this weekend...Hope Kaovitch retains his title..but you are right...if he loses he will probably never get another title shot unless there is a rematch clause or if it is really close...It is a good match up if Daiki is serious and puts real pressure on the Thai... Denkaosan is a good boxer and Kameda has youth on his side... go Denkaosan!!!
I had it close for Kaovitch. It's a shame you missed it up on YouTube, I would have sworn it was there just a month ago... When he came to the title I had high hopes that he would seek unifaction, but that didn't happen. I'm a fan, but maybe we would be better of with a younger man holding the strap....i'd still like the veteran to pull it out though.
i've got kaovichit again in this one, but it could go either way. he's slow as hell, but daiki kameda isn't really all that skilled or all that quick either. kaovichit by split decision.
