Vargas just beat Forbes, the guy that Mayfield KO'd not too long ago. two undefeated fighters with something to prove. both have an open schedule. somebodies 0' has got to go.
i think so too. Vargas is a good exciting fighter, but can he take a punch? a Mayfield punch? idk. and Mayfield is not very technically skilled, just a good scrapper. while Vargas has shown he can box when needed. but like i said, its a pick em fight.
How about Mayfield vs. Holt, now that Kendall's date with Josesito Lopez is broken w/o rescheduling as Lopez is subbing in for Berto against Ortiz? I like the Mayfield-Holt suggestion. Strangely, although Mayfield is the "prospect" in this matchup, he's not that much younger than Holt... but personally I think Holt should stay at WW, he looked very strong at that weight vs. Coleman.
