Kenyan born Light Heavyweight who formely fight and trained in Australia, Kariz Kariuki (24-9-2) will fight for the first time since May when he clashes with Puerto Rican, Edison Miranda (24-9-0) at the Boardwalk Hall, Atlantic City, New Jersey, United States on the undercard of Andre Ward vs Carl Froch-17th December, 2011.

It will be a step up in class for the former Contender star who now trains in Tampa, Florida. Miranda is a past world title contender and has fought the likes of Lucian Bute, Andre Ward and Arthur Abraham.

Tough fight for Kariuki...Miranda has been exposed as a crude slugger at elite level, which unfortunately Kariuki is not.
Miranda by KO in this fight.

Good on him for getting a decent fight on undercard of a big fight.

He has no chance unless Miranda has slipped a long way.

Pity a few more over here don't chase their dream over in the states.

Despaigne is also on this card. They will meet again in February on ESPN to finish the fight they started last summer.

Training in US atleast he would be getting better sparring and gets a good opportunity one thing is for sure he turns up to fight but that won't help him I feel in think fight, after a couple interesting rounds I feel its going to be a David banks style ko for Miranda and another big fight somewhere down the line for him
