Do you believe in Karma? People around the world call it different things. There's a quote that many Mississippians like to use, "God don't like ugly" and what they mean by that is, when you do or say things that God doesn't appreciate, you reap the reward for such action.
Christians believe that when you give and bless someone with kindness, God blesses you even more. Manny Pacquiao has blessed many thousands of people, and look at the blessings that he has received. Karma? Pacquiao stays out of trouble, he is kind to folks, he works hard, he sets goals and he achieves those goals. His reward? A beautiful family, wealth, fame, good health, and millions of fans worldwide. Karma?
The Mayweathers could probably learn a thing or two about how Manny Pacquiao conducts himself. I must point out, it's not all of the Mayweathers that surround themselves with trouble. Jeff Mayweather seems to be someone for the most part that stays clear of issues.
Floyd Sr, Floyd Jr, and Roger Mayweather? They are a different story. These three have constantly stayed in trouble, or have said things that make good hearted people cringe, and have gone on smear campaigns against Pacquiao, Roach, and even lately against this writer.
So what does Karma have to offer them? Roger Mayweather got arrested for choking a female boxer in Las Vegas. Floyd Mayweather was also arrested, once for a domestic issue, and again for a dispute with a guard outside of his house. The Karma didn't stop there though. Floyd then would go online and attack Filipinos, lobbing racial slurs. Karma? Yes indeed.
Just recently, Karma let everyone know that it's not done with the Mayweathers. Floyd was smacked with a 3.4 million dollar IRS bill for unpaid taxes. Karma? You be the judge.
My fellow Mississippians chimed in when I asked a few of them what their thoughts were on the recent IRS smack down. I spoke with Larry Davis, of Jackson, MS who actually has been a Floyd Mayweather fan. Larry pulled no punches, "Hey I used to be a big fan of Floyd Mayweather Jr. I lost all respect for him now though. He is clearly scared to fight Pacquiao, and he has disappointed many of his fans. His behavior has been repulsive, and I no longer follow his career."
I also spoke with another Floyd Mayweather fan at the Time Out Sports Cafe in Jackson. Danny James, a construction worker from Canton, MS. Danny had this to say, " I can't stand here and say that Floyd's not a great fighter, but his behavior has been nothing close to great. His father is a moron as well. His father goes on all of these interviews with different boxing sites and accuses Pacquiao of steroids, then tries to deny it? What an idiot."
    Karma is alive and kicking
