Not everyone may stop in to check things out on The Polish Frieght Boxing Express thread, so I'm posting this here, which was sent to us from our Hungarian friend Darien. Excellent one punch KO. Actually set up with a beautiful right jab. Holy Crap!!! This content is protected Super Middleweight. I'd like to see Calzaghe handle that shot. Maybe a future opponent for Pavlik? :think
Well, lets not get carried away.Nice knockout, but the opponent had his chin way up in the air.The only thing missing was a bullseye target. The question isn't if Calzaghe could take that shot, its how long it would be before the kid realizes he won't be able to hit Joe like that.
Not gonna dispute Joe C good defense. But the reason that smuck that got KO'ed with his chin up in the air was because Balzsay snapped his head back with his jab & the left hand followed immediately afterwards, exactly the way its supposed to be done. Very nice work.:!:
I can't wait for the first announcer to say what a BALLSEY Effort from this kid. I've actually heard of him before, and he's on my radar.
I did not...when was that?:think Couldn't have been in the WC2003; Balzsay went out in the first round...Bute lost to Golovkin in the Quarterfinals... Javid Tagiyev (AZE) - Karoly Balzsay (HUN) 20:13
I couldn't tell you when that was. Darien, from Hungary, who was good enough to post that vid on another thread, said Balzsay beat Bute in the amateurs. I'm just taking his word for it. No problemo, Lampley. I am a critic of quality boxing & know when I see something highly rated. Did you see the thread about people saying the Coddrington vs Bika fight the other night is a FOTY candidate? I watched it. It was entertaining, but IMO hardly fight of the year. Bika's wild haymakers just don't cut it in my book. Although they were effective against Jaidon, he too was reduced to swinging wildly from the fences. FOTY in the amateurs, maybe. But as professional, they should be embarressed of themselves. Especially Bika, for marrying that white sweathog of his! :yep
