I will say josey...burns was physically strong for a guy jumping weight. He knows how to clinch and tie up when he needs to and he handled kats really well on the inside.
I think a bit is being taken away off Burns though tonight Jet , i had Ricky winning by at least 3 rounds which proves he is a World class fighter , we will see who they both fight next when the dust settles to see where they both are in the division , gotta run fella , go steady :good

Fact is Burns did school him and how ,,, with basic boxing thats how , there was nothing paticulrly clever about the way he done it , he just done the basics very very well . He worked his jab and kept Mick at bay , when Mick closed him down he tucked his elbows in took them on the arms , and at the right time came back up the middle or moved of the ropes with a punch , Has the fight went on he opened up with a few more mid range punches and caught Mick with some good body shots , In the later rounds he sapped some of Micks strenght by leaning and holding inside . Overall , it was a very very good performance of basic boxing that ALL PRO'S should know . Like i said before they had a plan , and worked it out in the gym before the fight , Mick had no plan b personally i don't think the hard fights he has had are the cause of his loss , its more a case of when he steps up a level , fitness and bully tactics , with the hope of a big left hook just don't cut it . Would still like to see him fight Lenny that would earn a quid in Aust , and its about the level Mick is at . Regardless he needs to ditch that trainer , i havve never ever been impressed with him , since i seen him trying to put a african imports popped shoulder back in , inbetween rnds and send him back out , ruined the guys carreer he never fought again has far has i know ,, It was totally luidicrous just like training in Thailand for world title fights .
Burns has always been underrated, and as well as being skilled is a big bloke for the lower weights. Not a concussive puncher, but you will find it hard to bully him out of a fight. As for his sparring it was John Simpson, Curtis Woodhouse and Dean Byrne, quality fighters but not unholy out of reach guys so i disagree that this was a decisive factor for this fight Credit to kastidis the cards were bull, i'll always be a fan whenever he fights.
Not pacmans but all experienced boxers , who would be more than capable of giving a good hard spar , and emulating Micks style , a big step up from local Thais looking for a feed and Muiy Thai fighters . Most will always be fans of Micks for the ring courage and determination he has shown over the years , but facts are his preperation for the big fights at the highest level , have been dismal and ameteuish to say the least .
True, the benefits of sparring Thai toughnuts are reduced when you are due up against technical boxers like Guerrero and Burns.
