That's not my intention, I just can't help that I find your posts hilarious.

 

Your intention was to fire me up, get me to go off on a tirade about the difference between a TKO stoppage and a controversial decision as if anyone is dense enough to believe Vitali/Lewis and Kovalev/Ward are even remotely similar. I'm glad you find my posts hilarious, there is humor intended in everything I write.

But since we are off the topic of Ward failing to deliver the rematch the fans deserve in a timely manner, let's discuss Vitali vs Lewis.

Message board revisionism wants us to believe Vitali did nothing impressive in that fight and "won the event" has became a sarcastic jab. But let's really break this down. On the basis of that performance, Vitali went from a fringe contender to the #1 heavyweight in the world. That's a fact. He went from a German attraction to Main Eventing Madison Square Garden as the headliner against the man he was a substitute for no less just 6 months prior.

In the wake of Lewis' retirement, he was recognized as the lineal Champion for defeating Corrie Sanders. He became an HBO star and ratings sensation, something his more accomplished brother struggled to do. The alternate story line of Vitali getting simply destroyed by a washed up Lewis just doesn't fit this shoe. What Vitali did in that fight was show us that it was his time and he was the Man, and got recognized as such, he was leap frogged up the ratings by the media that had labeled him a quitter and became an international star.

 

SOB Ward claims that his fight with Kovalev was the easiest fight of his entire career and that he was never hurt, not even once. SOB was hurt from a jab, then knocked down in the next round. All SOB did was hold, hold on to Kovalev's leg, try to headbutt, he did not fight. SOB had his judges, referee, boxing commission, all in his favor, yet SOB's fans even booed the decision. SOB got beaten and everyone knows it.................Harold Lederman had it 116 -111 Kovalev................I had it even wider for Kovalev...............SOB will not fight Kovalev in a rematch, he will retire first, SOB is a liar, the rematch clause is legal and they will have to sue the coward, if they do SOB will retire...........SOB is afraid.....................he knows he lost and his fans know it.............

Vitali staggered Lewis, Vitali had two weeks to train, yet he was ahead on the cards, if the fight had not been stopped due to a cut, Vitali would have knocked Lewis out in the very next round, Lewis was finished. Lewis had promised a rematch, but chickened out, Vitali retire Lewis for good.............

 

I'm afraid that's impossible.

Actually to be fair, this is the "good" version of Shock. He was so bad about a year ago there was talk of passing the hat around and sending a gorilla with rabies over to his basement
