WE should be getting a rematch in March or April, now that seems impossible. I like the non-boxing fans cheer leading Ward for stalling.

you have to remember...these are the same guys that were rooting for ward to pull out of the first fight so they would never be faced with what they are faced with now

same group of guys hoping for the ppv numbers to bomb(even though that might make a 2nd match tougher to make) because they are insecure about golovkins ppv numbers

    no suprise

That's a crucial point, and a good one. People are using Roc and Ward interchangeably, but there's one tiny difference:

Andre made a lot of money off of Kovalev I.

Roc lost a lot of money off of Kovalev I.

There's much more economic motivation for Ward and Prince to want the rematch than there is for Roc, which is why they're dead quiet on it.

No, these are the people who think their dick is going to fall off if a "non color" fighter has success. People like yourself that are so color blind and insecure they will go to great lengths to justify incompetent judging.

nah...see...im a white guy...and I like ward...I bag on ggg but never kova or loma..I like the young crop of EE guys

but if you bash ward you aint a boxing fan....

look at it this way..if ward ISNT gonna retire hell be fighting kovalev....if he IS retiring then the fight wasn't gonna happen anyway

what does it matter when it happens?

You don't have to be any skin color to feel threatened by the breaking of the status quo, which has only been the status quo for a few recent decades in a sport over 100 years old.

Depends on what you bash him for. Ward's behavior negates the sport. Boxing fans want to see him in the ring, not cheer him on as Froch takes out his #1 contender, as he sits on inactivity, and stalls on a rematch of a controversial fight most feel he lost.

"When"....has always been important in boxing.

wards "behavior negates the sport"...lol...ya.....basically cleaning out 168 and then going up, after a layoff, to beat the top 5 p4p LHW unbeaten champ!!

    terrible behavior ....lol...

once again...if ward is going to fight on he has to, and will, fight kovlev...if he retires the rematch was never happening anyway.....get over it loser

No, he did not clean out the division, he beat the division's "policeman " 5 years ago.
And he did not beat the LWH champion in the eyes of at least 75% of the media and most non-biased fans.

And his terrible behavior has nothing to do with his boxing anyway, as I stated. It's his tendency to put the boxing world on hold for his ego. We should be getting a rematch within a month's time now to settle the score but thus, here we are, as we have been for the last 5 years, waiting for Ward to make up his mind and fans like you make it possible.

No, as a boxing fan I will continue to voice my disapproval his antics. Your childish name calling won't stop me or other fans, it will only make you look bad.

Yep nobody should call out robberies. Cuz it could hurt the feelings of the 'winner'

Duva has no job talking about Andre Ward.

He'll well into his right to keep quiet. He's negociating with Roc Nation. Not with Duva

Since the fight wont happen in May cuz of Canelo-Chavez, why do people want an announcement in February ? I dont get it

Ward's intention was to clinch at every opportunity; Kovalev was weary of the head first lunges and rabit punches, not Ward's power, which is non-existant at this weight against quality opposition.

    So there ya go.

Looking at Sergei combat and even initiate some of the "wrestling" was just bizarre, he looked so uncomfortably awkward. Yet another tool Ward unleashed on Kovalev was basically forcing him to negotiate uncharted territory. When judges see a fight develop/unfold with characteristics that align better with a particular fighters history then the results tend to lean in favor of that fighter, this fight in particular did not resemble your typical Kovalev fight it looked more like a Ward fight meaning he controlled a large amount of the pace/atmosphere. Of course this doesn't automatically equate to being more effective or even more productive that sort grading system is more quantifiable, easier to detect and report aggression and punches landed but even then the tangible variances where marginal at best.

Just a different perspective for you to consider, I know a good amount of the dopes on here could care less because of their tunnel vision.
