Kathy Duva: Andre Ward Continues To Ignore Rematch Talks...

I must admit I kind of blame Duva/Kovalev for allowing a title fight that is being fought in America, between an American and a Russian, to allow for 3 American judges.

The home cooking was in before the fight.

 

They drank the freedom koolaid

 

Maybe there are multiple reasons.

Ward knows that he lost the first time and is going to be KTFO this time.

Roc lost money the first time and know that they will lose even more the second time.

Kovalev has a very simple thing to do to win - work on his stamina and box aggressively. Ward needs a whole new gameplan to win.

 

Something that interests me about this board is how trolls like you feel the need to put words in people's mouths and insult them for things they didn't actually say. Surely, there are easier ways for you to masturbate?

Ward did not face Bute, Dirrell, Groves..etc. And until Ward defeated Froch, that bum Bute was regarded as the #1 or #2 Super Middle in the world by most publications and there was debate at the time if the winner of the Super 6 would even be lineal without a win over Bute. "Clean up" can be a subjective generalization but to apply it to Ward's victories over two top men in a two year period is some serious abuse of the term.

When the judges are in a minority of popular opinion and at odds with an overwhelming majority of qualified observers, they did something wrong. The judges are not a panel of magic wise men that see things the rest of us cannot.

Actually we are on hold right now waiting for a rematch that should be going down in late March or early April. So not so dumb.

It's cool you are fine with the rematch not happening, but people that actually want what is best for the sport don't agree with you.

Given your obsession with Golovkin, I would assume you are talking about him here. That doesn't surprise me.

 

I don't think you have the right to be angry with a guy for feeling robbed if the majority of the world's boxing community feel he won the fight. You can disagree with their opinion sure but trying to punish them for thinking they won when that's the overwhelming consensus comes across as insecure, petty and frankly a bit embarrassing.

I think he'll prob win a rematch clearly anyway so all this nonsense is doing is making him look bad.

I thought Kovalev won a close fight too but this nonsense about American biased judges makes you wonder how Kovalev won ANY fight here. If Kovalev is so worried about corruption here ask him why he moved here in the first place. He's done very well in America WITH American judges. He considers America his home now. So what home cooking?

It was a close fight, but kovalev clearly did enough to retain his titles.

At best in Ward's favour, it could have been a draw and you could still argue that would be unjust against Kovalev. It was never a win for Ward, unless the judges were on the payroll. And don't tell me it doesn't happen in one of the most corrupt sport's in existence.

I'd wager Ward's own mother knew he lost. We had Ward and his whole entire gang dining out inside clubs, video taping themselves celebrating as if as if they just robbed the world bank.

They couldn't believe their luck in stealing those belts from the russian after Ward got knocked down and out-boxed through the majority of the fight.

Please specify which part where he says it was close and could have gone either way you liar. Must have been watching too much of your daddy Ward to the point where his contradictions and lying has rubbed off on you.

 

Ward is making himself look so bad here. The really sad thing is that most supporting him are not even fans, just haters of Kovalev and status quo junkies resistant to the paradigm shift in the sport occurring before their denying eyes.

 

You've still not explained how Canelo's win over Khan is better or equal to any victory GGG has ever had.
