This guy did say Groves in the context of one possible name that would strengthen your claim of a clean up. Groves has been a fixture of the division for the last 6 years and currently holds an official close win over the #2 man in the division and a close official loss to the #1. You should take me seriously as I'm methodically making a clown out of you.

I would say if anyone is the "golovturd" it is the poster who has brought him twice into a discussion that has nothing to do with him. I can't even remember discussing Golovkin on this forum in some time.

I pointed out he was missing more than Bute and doesn't have a strong case for any clean up claim..."basically" or otherwise. If you wish to completely retract your "clean up" claim, say so. This is an example of double speak, a very poor application as well. You want to say Ward "cleaned up" but added ambiguity because you know I would rip your claim apart. Too bad, I did it anyway.

I will say I'm a fan of Golovkin and many other fighters, but wouldn't go so far as to call him my hero. I'm at a loss as to what this has to do with anything. This is about Ward's antics being bad for boxing. I've made my case. You want to ramble about Golovkin like a jilted lover.

Yes, I would say if Ward beat the three men I mentioned himself he would have a very strong claim of a clean up. Instead Ward is the guy..who beat the guy who beat everyone. Instead of the guy who beat everyone. That's fine but it doesn't make him a "Clean up" Champion.

I found that to be an actual close fight, regardless Forch and Dirrell established themselves as top men in the division. Ward only fought and beat one of them.

In this case the "something" is a claim you made or didn't make, you can't seem to commit to anything, devaluing yourself to the point you are the one that is hard to take serious.

Kovalev? Yes, it was a controversial win the vast majority of the boxing media, fans, and personality felt he lost. If I was a Ward fan I would want him to take this match and prove people wrong or face defeat like a man, nobody who cares about Ward's legacy would want to see him rest his hat on such a win.

What the hell are you you talking about? Get GGG's dick out of your mouth and stay on the topic. You said Ward cleaned out 168, I disputed it. If your case is Ward "cleaned out" 168 because you feel Golovkin's competition is C level..well, that's a pretty stupid argument.

Regarding Dirrell, nope. Considering the man a brother and saying he has no interest in fighting him is not the same as being unavailable.

 

reality is with dirrell it wasnt in the cards...even if ward said he'd fight him...when was this supposed to happen?

 

its weird...boxrec and all credible sites have ward still unbeaten and kovalev with a loss...its okay though..maybe in june you get revenge...then again..maybe in june yer 0-2 and buried....

 

It first supposed to have happened on September 25, 2010 but negotiations stalled when Ward refused to leave Oakland and face Dirrell in Michigan.

The fight was proposed in 2012 but Ward dismissed Dirrell as a "brother he had no interest in fighting" and ultimately took most of the year off.

Odd, Ward just couldn't find the time for the two guys that were expected to be the hardest fights for him stylistically. I see no argument for a clean up with loose ends like this.

 

Sorry but no self respecting fan is going to take boxing results at face value. They will click on the detail link of Kovalev vs Ward and see it was a controversial result in which 75% of the media polled had Kovalev winning often by more than a few points. They will watch the fight for themselves.

Kovalev will be remembered by the majority as the better fighter that night and you are not going to change that, anymore than we can change the official result.
