She is making a logical mistake. She lists fighters Kovalev will (maybe) fight vs. fighters GGG already fought.

    Weak argument really.

Duva is one of the worst promoters. if her goal is to make Kovalev beloved in boxing forums and unknown otherwise and make the least amount of money possible. then she's doing a super duper job :good

Stevenson makes way more money. is hated by boxing forums and fights nobodies.

    who's promoter is better?

Under Duva, Kovalev has gone from obscurity to unified world champion, HBO star and a millionaire while fighting 5,000 miles from home, consistently drawing 1 million viewers per fight.

Under Haymon, Stevenson has gone from fighter of the year 2013 pre-Haymon to protected joke pulling 364k on Sho fighting past prime SMWs and poor LHWs. Sure Haymon hands him checks from a hedge fund but let's not pretend there's any worthwhile promoting going on.

    That's interesting...
Amateur trainers in Russia and Kazakhstan who knew both fighters, all together say GGG is FAR more talented and technically superior than Kovalev and the only question is size.

Time will tell, right now Kovalev hasn't showed anything to say that he is more talented or technically superior.

That's gonna be hella awkward if she ever signs him. :!:

I wonder how many gold watches and other bling she'll need to shower Gennady with in order to buy his forgiveness?

Sit that well-seasoned crotch right down atop his perpetually-grinning mug?

Eat your heart out, Sergey. (there's a follow-up punchline here...)

That's laughable, I don't even think the best hops that ever entered a ring could cause any issues with golovkin.

Just way too much offensive fire power and overall skill for hops at any age, any night to handle more than 8/9 rounds of punishment...

This is not a ww ggg moving up to take on one of the biggest mw in history. No its not

They, in the past both trained by ggg's trainer. He chose ggg over kovalev, that should tell you all you need to know.

It probably won't, that's because we have some of the most ignorant fans of any sport

Willie gonna Willie (as in put GGG down at every opportunity)

Both are P4P Top 3 in the world

Throw in Chocalito and make your P4P Top 3 from that

Kovalevs resume really isn't that much better. Ancient Hopkins and a past prime Pascal? Meh.

They both have good resumes for what their divisions offer.

Very few missing names on either - and the few that are there are due to politics rather than culpability on the part of Kovalev or Golovkin.

You can't be serious. Prime Hopkins would be a nightmare for GGG

Even the "green" Hopkins that lost to Jones, arguably.

...but that isn't really a knock on Golovkin whatsoever, unless you're holding the guy up to unreasonably high expectations like those who already want to anoint him top 5 (or 2!! :patsch) all time at the weight.

Those are two ATG middleweights right there.
