The smaller the ring, the better. Kovalev was wrecking Ward on the outside.

This is incorrect. The NSAC regulation "The ring must be 20 feet square within the ropes", not "at least 20 feet-square." All NSAC fights have rings that size within the ropes. Also most people are referring to the size within the ropes not the extension of the ring beyond the ropes when they discuss the size. Thus people refer to 20x20 being the standard Nevada regulation, rather than 23.5x23.5 when accounting for the provision of the ring extending at least 18 inches beyond the apron.

This of course is also why Duva sounds full of it, since the moment the site was chosen the ring size was always going to be 20x20.

Unless it is held in a phone booth I think Ward will win again. This time more comfortably.

Kovalev has better footwork anyway so why would a bigger ring help Ward? S.O.B's team probably wanted a trap door installed though.

Where has that little Jake Lamotta poster dork been? The huge "Dre" hugger, I bet he will show up immediately if Ward wins. Same goes for that rat faced Conraddobbler cretin.

    wrong

the quote in my Post was taken verbatim from a paper copy of the regs sitting right her on my desk.

it seems that what you are asserting is incorrect is the phrase at least that appears in the quote from my Post

again, i quoted directly from the regs

that aside, even without looking at the regs, it's obvious that the regs to not mandate a specific ring dimension, but rather just a minimum (hence the term "at least"): as i said, many professional fights in Nevada take place in rings larger than 20 feet/side. I mentioned on such fight (May-Pac)

if your post is correct, then this would be illegal.

    -----

the other point you mentioned, side length (per side) within the ropes versus total length; that distinction, in practice isn't necessary--because the length from ropes-to ring apron edge is fixed by the Commision regs at 18'' (which i also mentioned in my Post).

You're either looking at the MMA section or the regulations you're citing in direct conflict with the actual legislation.
Note the distinct lack of "at least" regarding the within ropes ring size. Mayweather-Pacquiao was contested in a ring that was 20x20 within the ropes and was widely reported as such, fitting the standard NSAC ring specifications.
