As most of you know, Kovalev offered Beterbiev a 75/25 split for the fight that Chilemba (also with Duva) ended up taking last Summer in Moscow. In context, Artur is Chechen and Moscow, well... you can look it up.

Now a few months ago when Yvon Michel was looking to find Beterbiev an opponent who ended up being Prieto, he first went to Duva to inquire about Barrera... and offered a 75/25 split of $300,000/$100,000, which Prieto received. Barrera wanted 200 or 300, Michel didn't explain the conditions that came with those counter-offers.

Then he phoned Duva again to ask about Chilemba - 'he refused'. Also wanted 200-300 and passed on the $100K.

    [Scene it from October]

It's all in good fun I suppose, since Michel said Beterbiev and Kovalev would likely agree to fight while Ward would "sit on it for a while", pre his pre-Ward/Kovalev comments.

Does he have to? Can they take an interim fight? Is the contract posted online?

Let's see how those negotiations go... PPV punched below its weight and Ward will want more next time around. Good luck.

No idea but he shouldn't take an interim fight he should hound ward for a rematch.

He will earn less from the beterbiev fight and it is a way harder fight with a lot more danger

Im sure ward would love to see these two power houses smashing the life out of each other while he is safe,

Beterbiev should get the IBF mandatory and face ward/ kovalev after

That's the plan. GYM is gunning for the IBF angle to get one of those belts, might even be a vacant belt if Ward REALLY doesn't want anything to do with Artur.

Kovalev hasn't seen the worst of the diva. Now Ward is champ, he wants to be desired.

If these guys want to force the cancer that is ward out of the division they are goi ngt o have. To work together

Kovalev will have hold him out for the rematch

    Beterbiev goes for the ibf

    Gvodsyk for the wbo

    And bivol for the wba

We have the hottest division in boxing and ward will attempt to ruin it sit on he's ass and not fight the big names

I would much rather see Kovalev-Beterbiev as opposed to either of them fighting Ward.

Kov-Bet will be a fuking war

In terms of a fight yes

But I want to see ward face beterbiev and another rematch with kovalev before kovalev vs beterbiev where they destroy eachother

Yeah if anything, Ward will want Kovalev to 'build himself back up before he can get another chance' by fighting Beterbiev.

A S6 concept would be ideal, but it'll likely never happen again in boxing.

    Ward
    Kovalev
    Beterbiev
    Stevenson
    Gvodzyk
    Smith Jr

I'd have bivol instead of smith, he's way better

They should have a playoff for 6th place

Bivol takes he's marketability and soul
