Persoon was a top level fighter you idiot and yes she is the mayweather of womens boxing, skill wise shes miles ahead its only here age thats giving these other women a chance.

 

Hell of an achievement for Taylor, to do what she's done. I think it's time for her to retire now, she's the greatest female boxer of all time and could be for a while yet. Thank god for the likes of Savannah Marshall because otherwise the likes of Courtenay would be the future of British female boxing.

 

Given the talent pool in women's boxing it's not a significant achievement as in men's boxing, in reality those belts mean very little. Great fight between two very good operators but let's not blow this out of perspective. Well done but it's really the equivalent in winning an area title (in terms of active boxers)

 

UFC lasses fight for the same time rounds as men from my understanding.

What's the reasoning for this 10 x 2 minute rounds for an epic, atg fight?

It allows too much pitter patter like the taylor lass.

 

Why do women play only best of three in tennis? They get equal pay as well in grandslams.

That thread is nearly 100 pages of the same 4 or 5 nerds bickering back and fourth about their scorecards. The fight probably did OK in America, but overall and certainly here in the UK, there was very little interest in it. That's reality, stop falling for the hype.

 

Not interested in hype just two excellent boxers in a fantastic fight

 

I don't usually watch the women boxing but because it was sandwiched in between Smith Vargas and Stevenson Valdez, which I was staying up for, I decided to watch Taylor Serrano, and I will say, I enjoyed the fight, it was competitive and entertaining. Not a fan of the two minute rounds though, they just feel too short to me. If this was the biggest fight in the history of women boxing, then it looked like a massive success for its supporters, and it was good to see the conduct and respect shown to each other afterwards by both fighters.

 

There was a time when I would assume a comment like this was trolling, but people have had so much spin about women's boxing rammed down their throats that they actually believe this nonsense. I've seen far better white collar fighters than Delfine Persoon, she is terrible.

 

But realistically, how many people in the UK do you think sat up till the early hours of the morning to watch on DAZN?
