Anyone really excited at the prospect of seeing Connor Benn get roughed up or even, gasp, lose in a fight he's supposed to dominate?

I can't remember the last time we saw a fighter quite as carefully marketed as him, with him already having endorsement deals and all sorts of misc ridiculousness despite him only having a handful of fights. Can't wait until this bubble bursts, personally.

 

Yea it's pretty hilarious how he is marketed. Will be interesting to see how far he can go.

 

I like Conor Benn because of Nigel Benn but I too see that bubble bursting, there's no way he can compete with the likes of Thurman/Spence, that's if he ever gets too world level. He is a improving fighter tho

 

Yeah, but to be realistic and I honestly don't think he'll even come within sniffing distance of a legitimate world title.

You can't "market" a fighter and not expect an eventual diaster, they've been trying to produce fighters and pushing them beyond their abilities for years. It never works.
