Lucia Rijker was excellent and a cut above the rest in an era where women's boxing was still developing and trying to establish itself and be taken seriously. How would she do in this era where women's boxing has developed significantly with the amateur scene thriving and the pro scene getting much more attention. How would she have fared with Katie Taylor?
You said it yourself . Katie has taken boxing to a whole new level. Katie is just too good at boxing for rijker to win. Katie is the best woman boxer ever. She is not just a good boxer "for a girl ". She's a good boxer, period.
Rijker was easily beaten a low level male fighter, Taylor is part a more evolved era of women`s boxing, Rijker was the Rousey of boxing and Katie is a better boxer than Holm, Holly Holm who exposed Ronda Rousey as a one dimensional Judo expert, is also more evolved as a boxer compaered to Rijker.
To watch her fight and then listen to her speak after is weird. Such a gentle voice.. But she's beast in the ring.
