The pieces look like they are coming together for Katie Taylor and her dream of a Croke Park farewell :

    1. Reigning WBC champ Sandy Ryan is pregnant and the WBC has ordered Taylor-Pili for the vacant title.
    2. So add the name Pili as a possible, perhaps now most likely opponent, to WBA interim champ Edith Soledad Matthysse and WBO #1 ranked Patricia Berghult.
    3. Conveniently, Matchroom has Croke Park booked for September 5th.

I don’t know Taylor’s true popularity in Ireland but is she really selling 80k seats?

It just feels unlikely to me.

    Pure marketing ploy.

Is she even that popular? Nothing against her but I wouldn't watch her if she was fighting in my back garden.

Have made my points over KT Croke Park.

It will simply be about pricing and also the undercard.

If you look at it this way its like when the BBC report about big support of women's football and record crowds, yes some crowds are very good numbers but 15 to 20 quid in for adults 5 to 10 for kids and family packages.

Put a few sections at 30 euro adults 15 euro kids, it will probably do quite well!

Needs a very strong undercard and good pricing and they could do it. Its not going to be your average coked up mostly young men crowd I dont think. There is 2 big shows in Dublin in August that will cater to that crowd.

I think this could be more a family freindly event.
