The weigh-in face off showed no sign of a significant size difference and Taylor looked better at the higher weight. The Bookmakers have Taylor as favourite as Cameron will have to seriously school Taylor to get a decision and we all know about the rarity of stoppages in women's boxing. Going to be a cracking 50/50 fight and Cameron has a very good chance of winning by drawing Taylor into a war from the first bell. We may see Hearn crying into the shoulder of Diamante in the ring tomorrow.
Cheers for the summary. Won’t go out of my way to watch this, need to take a nap at some point so I don’t miss Haney-Loma.
I am absolutely gutted to miss this as i have a family party saturday night. Seriously considered not going but not worth the hassle. Will record it and watch the next day hopefully managing to avoid knowing the result but that is highly unlikely,Same with the Haney v Loma fight
Looking forward to this and credit to both girls who genuinely just want to get in there and fight..pity the vast majority of male fighters don’t have the same attitude. Taylor is the better boxer and athlete and should be to fast for Cameron.wide points for me
Cameron isn’t that much bigger. She could have been fighting at 135 but there were more opportunities at 140. She is definitely naturally bigger than Taylor though. Look at the size of Cameron outside training camps. I think Taylor will definitely win 6 rounds. She’ll probably engage a bit too much like against Jonas and Serrano but she should win. Good points. Hearn won’t be too disappointed if Cameron wins in a close and competitive fight though. The rematch would be an easy sell. Remember Cameron is a Matchroom fighter. Taylor is 36 and doesn’t have many fights left. If Cameron wins she becomes a big star and she is only 32. Undercard is decent. Disappointed Hogan Metcalf is so early on as I wanted to watch that. Carry McFarlane and Donovan O’Maison are on Before the Bell which is good action free-to-air. Might only tune in for the main event though because of tests next week.
Yours are good points too. Id imagine most people see a very close distance fight. Mine is probably that Chantelle Cameron will have looked to have adged it but that Taylor will get the nod. Nothing unusual there, especially in GB, but as it's not possibly not too many complaints. As you say that outcome will set things up nicely for a return, these 2 being at the top of their game. Hearn is going to repeat that these 2 are not just great "female fighters" but "great fighters" which will be the case, and talk straight away about a return, whatever happens . You just know it.
If your wife sees this she wont love you mate. On a par with Shields/Marshall for me. It's that good.
It was going to be the 2nd bout of the main card after Agyarko but before Harper and Cully. Now it is right in the middle of the card. I think Metcalf will win and grind Hogan down but it's one I'm struggling to call. I'm surprised Hogan is the favourite to be honest.
I think she will start with a boxing approach but will have been told she has to put it in Taylor after not too many rounds. When drawn into a fight she is extremely good at slipping punches and answering with hard shots of her own.
@DramaShow I think Hogan will nick it. Metcalf is a tough lad but not quite as good as his dad. His Spanish win maybe flattered to deceive. Hope im wrong.
