What about this matchup? I know Kid Diamond's stock had fallen lately but a couple of good wins and it could be back up again. I think it would be a pretty brutal affair. Both guys are only preoccupied with offence, and pretty much nothing else. I dont think Mick has the savvy of Campbell or Huerta, so it would be more of a straight up war. Katsidas by mid round TKO after plenty of blood spilt and bombs traded I say.
It had nothing to do with overconfidence. Katsidis would rush straight in without sitting down on his punches. This is not the way a conventional fighter should fight a southpaw.
I think it was obvious in the Amonsot fight Katsidas had some issues with southpaws he needed to resolve. Going up against one of the better southpaws in the last 10 years in his next fight maybe was to soon. But it was a risk he needed to take and a fight that was winnable. Hopefully he keeps on improving.
i am not that highly on katsidis. I was one of the few people who pick casamayor would win against him. He couldn't even put away an old past his prime casamayor after his performance with sta. cruz, Kid Diamond on the other hand is a more proven fighter, and i'm picking him by UD or perhaps another TKO if this fight ever happen
