Given Kats fights before, this was his first serious test. The Earl fight was new territory for him, he did good. From there he was a wanted man, given his style. Check his record, he will tell you also, till the Earl fight, he was banging out cab drivers. Its a given in Australia, for numerous reasons. Your right also, Mitchell can certainly stand with him, for how long purely depends on Mitchells concentration and how shopworn Kats is.
Out of the two, Mitchell is definitely the boxer. Mitchell wins on skills, IF he fights smart and doesn't get in a tear up with the Aussie.
I remember you giving him the props regarding the better record, regarding Earl or Mitchell. No doubt, Vanzie,Murray etc, man those were the fights that DID happen at lightweight yet didnt at light-middle. Roberts, Williams, Arnie, Tak, Alexander............gutted. I should upload all ma FFN from back then, hours and hours of fights, am sure theres some gems. I miss Vanzie and his knee straps. Vanzie Vs Murray PURE GOLD !!! For me it was like tomorrows fight, or when Burns fought Gomez, love em both.
Can't pick this one, I'm pretty hyped about it. Let's be honest these are the types of fights that should be made. Hard to call, potential wars.
I'm leaning towards a Katsidis stoppage. I think he'll be physically too much for Mitchell to handle for 12 rounds. I think Katsidis has a big natural strength advantage here and he'll cut off the ring often enough to land his power shots, wearing Mitchell down and taking him out sometime after the 8th round.
