Smith stated, “We need to put the record straight here – Khan is ducking Michael, not the other way round and we are prepared to come to the UK and defeat Khan in front of his home fans. It appears that after Michael dismissed Kevin Mitchell in style these UK fighters have temporarily lost their balls…for the record, Michael Katsidis is available.”

“Richard Schaefer has talked to us about this fight and Golden Boy would love to put this fight on. Amir Khan looked impressive against Malignaggi but rest assured Katsidis is a class above and will beat Amir in his own country.

“We came to London in front of 15,000 fans for the Kevin Mitchell fight and this showed Michael’s boxing heart and boxing courage – he is a boxing warrior who wants the fight with Khan and later in the year he can take on the winner of the Juan Manuel Marquez versus Juan Diaz fight for the full WBO 135 pound title.”

It is widely reported in the UK that Joel Casamayor has been offered a lucrative $500k to come to the UK and fight Khan on July 31st.

With his impressive third round win against Kevin Mitchell last month for the interim title Katsidis is confident of creating another upset in the UK.

Smith added, “I feel sorry for the English boxing fans who would love to see this fight but are not being told the truth. Michael is ready for the fight but Khan is trying to make out that we don’t want it – he is probably scared we knock him out like we knocked Kevin Mitchell out – Amir Khan show us your balls.”

After beating paulie, roach said they wouldnt fight an elite fighter as not enough time, casa is at least a big name who can kayo wit 1 punch.

 

I think Khan would use his size and speed well against Katsidis keeping him out for a points decision, that doesn't mean he should get a pass for accepting an easier fight instead which Casamayor is.

 

He's not a big name in the UK, in fact after Katsidis stopped Mitchell he's someone in the spotlight over her now.

The thing is they didn't want Maidana because he wasn't a big enough name according to them so took a fight with Malignaggi instead, yet now they seem to be doing the complete opposite with this one and skipping on the more well known opponent to the UK public in Katsidis to fight an aging Casamayor.

You either want the bigger named opponents to sell the fight or you don't.

Too rangy, fast, powefulr plus better ring generalship than mitchell, hilarious how he ****s mitchell in 3 round and yet gets ****ed by cassa and he some star, khan leagues above them two, **** past results, he'd whips kats ass, as i've said before **** his chin till he meets a true sharp shooter with true pop.... ala mayweather/alexander...maybe bradley...Khan too big, fast and would take a kats shot or two and still kill him. Kats waiting for a slower and less powerful plus less rangy marquez or diaz...
