No doubt he could fight on with a chequered record but there is no need. Katsidis knows where he stands and so do we. He fought the absolute best he could but he was never quite the creme de la creme but he was a tough as they come contender.

I'm sure from his multiple big fights and even travelling multiple times, that he has been paid well. Retire in one piece. He gave the fans many great nights. He made his mark in the game. Maybe retire on a gimme fight. Either way, it appears time to go because he is no longer at his very best.

Mitchell ruined him IMO. He landed only one good punch against Marquez, was outclassed by Guerrero, and lost again to burns.

    ;)

Seriously tho, that is probably the end of him. It's a shame as he is one of my favourite ever fighters. But it's right for him to go now. With his style, he will take too much unnecessary damage over the next few years.

I hope his life after boxing is full of success as I genuinely have a lot of time for the bloke

I hope he retires to be honest, he's had a very good career with a lot of memorable fights, Id love to see him as a pundit or something, always came across as a likeable character.

My type of fighter, always comes to fight, leaves nothing in the ring. Great career, and comes across as a top bloke.

I think he'll fight once more.

Never won a proper world title but he'll be remembered much more fondly that other more accomplished fighters from this era.

This does look like the end - his style meant a long career at the top just wasn't going to be possible. He's not the type who can end up being a decent gatekeeper cos he leaves it all in the ring and he'll just get hurt.

Hope he's made some decent money and has it invested well.

He held that interim several times, Burns once and he becomes champ.

    Really unfair!
