Kudos to the legendary Joel Casamayor, shot to pieces and showing a warrior heart in the criticism of being cowardly.

Fought everybody, he deserves incredible credit for this, he's really, really past it and showed great poise and heart to recover from being put through the ropes and taking shots from a really hard puncher.

A limited guy, nothing in way of opinion of Katsidis, but a hard puncher and a pressure style.

 

:shock: goddamn man that is some prophetic analysing. i had katsidis by TKO/KO 9, i thought casa was done when flew out of the ring. either way that was an entertaining fight.

 

Good for you, brother. Nothing like a blessing coming your way when times are hard. From one Casa fan to another, congratulations. :good

 

I analysed earl and amonsot fights extensively because of the odds on Casa and I found he had a suspect jaw despite being tough, then the cutting situation.

I figured Casa would get up for the fight and didn't judge him from the last fight where he got a bad gift because that Cruz guy is a bad long style for him. If a ****ing guy like Amonsot can drop him and slice him up, then Casa's experience can get him a TKO on cuts or simply a TKO from well timed shots.

After that first round, I was feeling smug as you can believe mate.

Then he starts fading like I told IB could happen, gets put through the ropes and I just thought 'my life is ****ing awful these days '.

Then in the 7th he starts avoiding the bombs and timing some subtle shots, the 8th comes and he's turned the tide and I started gaining hope again, which was a rush of adrenaline through my body and I was standing up really close to the TV.

Then Katsidis drops and I just JUMP up in the air in joy, then the stoppage comes and I fall to my knee's.

It was incredible, you'd have to be in a really low financial spot to understand the up and down of this fight and the payoff here.

Dont worry if Casa fights Manny Pacquaio he will be done for good. Fair play to him though I thought Katsidis TKO10 getting up off the floor to do so (I was partially right at least) it was the other way round as Casa WTKO10 getting up to win. I do think though if Katsidis had not walked onto that punch he would've won a slim points decision. So fair play to both fighters but Katsidis flawed chin will now be under attack from any other top punchers in the division, he is tough though and very exciting. Manny would beat both these guys !

All anyone can do is CREDIT Casamayor. He showed the heart and measure of a Champion in dealing with adversity. I thought it was over when Katsidis sent him out of the ring. Katsidis had adjusted and was killing him with left hook/counter rights. Casa got wise and readjusted.
