Diaz...I'm still in shock that Robbie Pedens ***** beat him....that's one fight I expect Guzman to triumph in.... Anyway...Juan Diaz by late stoppage. I like Katsidis alot for obvious reasons, but it's been proven that he doesn't have the necessary attributes to hang with the elite of the division...which Juan Diaz undeniably is.
I wouldnt be surprised if Katsidis could pull off the upset and KO Diaz. Katsidis is the new Gatti. He cuts like crazy but this guy is a legit banger with tons of heart. We know one thing for certain this will be in a phone booth and his FOY written all over it. Diaz is a volume puncher but his not a concussive puncher. Diaz late on cuts is plausible but Katsidis cant be written off at all here.
That was Campbells own fault. He played with his food and payed the price. In the rematch he was still pysched out from the first and could never beat Peden. Either way Robbie was very underrated. The guy could bang and was no sluch at all.
Im thinking the same way, my head says Diaz late rounds on cuts but ive just finished rewatching Katsidis and Casamayor and Katsidis is alot better than alot of people are saying. I had Katsidis up at the time he was stopped and he gave Casa hell for the full fight especially after being down twice in the first. I have a feeling Katsidis may surprise alot of people.
Katsidis rocked the wiley Casamayor a ton of times. If it wasnt for his paper thin skin and penchant for cuts the guy could have made it even worse for Casamayor. The kid has a fairly decent chin tons of heart and is relentless. His a pure warrior much in the same vein as Corrales. His main problem is his cuts and defense which is VERY porous. But equally Diaz is easy to hit and doesnt have the power to truly get Katsidis respect. Either way i dont see this fight going the full 12 and liklyhood is a TKO.
I truly believe he can. Diaz is nice but his not exactly a defensive stalwart and he doesnt have the power to match his very busy style. I dont see how he can get Katsidis respect when his not that much of a puncher. But then again neither was Graham Earl:yep
