Good luck but you got 43:1 for a very good reason.

The ward fight is not a good bet IMO.

The other two are possible so i respect them.

I was going to check the odds of Kat by TKO. Marquez is the better boxer by far but gassed last fight. And at his age i think he might struggle as the fight goes on.

And Khan Maidana is also not a bad bet, but there are two reasons why i think Khan will win....

    1. i am pretty sure that Khans chin is not as suspect as people suggest. By that i am not saying its anywhere near granite, but at the same time i think he was weight drained at his lower weight days. Think about how tall he is and what weight he was figting at. Making weight must have been a real struggle as time went on. A knockdown is possible in the fight, but a KO or TKO IMO is not. Roach will have him trained to hold and buy time if he is dropped.
    2. Maidana might not get the chance to land clean all fight. People keep saying eventually he will hit him hard and it will be Lights of for Khan, but Khan is going to have a master game plan for the fight, so might not take a shot flush on the chin.
But if Khans chin has not improved and he does get hit flush then you could be right, so i can understand why you have bet for the outcome on that fight alone.

This is the point where i would usually say good luck with the bet, but i want Khan to win, so i hope you lose your money :hey

    Good points.

On the Khan situation, I really do think there are serious problems with his chin. There have been numerous rumours that he has been badly hurt in sparring. Apparently he was out on his feet against Ronnie Hefron.

I really hope this is not true. I really like Amir Khan.

The thing is Roach is so smart when it comes to boxing and also has the final say on who his big fighters actually fight. I cant see him taking the fight if he had and doubts about Khan winning.

Yes its mandatory but that does not mean he has to take the fight. He could have moved weights.
I agree that there is a risk in this fight, but i honestly think that Roach knows somthing that we dont and that come fight night we will see Khan not only look great, but also dominate the fight.

Every fight Roach takes is takes is so calculated. I am not taking anything away from the pac man but in his last few fights the outcome is so clear its not funny. He knows exactly who to pick to make his fighter look great as well as how to make a master plan to beat his opponent.

Khan needs a big hitting boxer on his resume. He takes a monster puncher with very unorthodox style who has pretty bad boxing skill and outboxes and jabs his face off all night long with.

    Job done.

Result. Khan by UD or late TKO.

God please let me be right!

In a way I kind of agree with you but Roach cant get in there with Khan. When he gets hit by one of Maidana's bombs I think all the game plans will go out the window.

Khan to get wasted is an absolute banker. I've never been so sure of anything in my life.
    BANK JOB!

I cant see Roach as well as GBP letting their potential cash cow in a fight that they think he will get KO`d in. I agree there is a risk but i am certain Khan will win this fight, and look good in doing so.

But we will have to see i guess. Would love to take a £10 bet with you on this.

Maidana and Dirrell have a legit chance of pulling it off but the Katsidas fight is an extreme longshot imo.

If Pac and PBF cant put JMM away do you really think Katsidas can?

    1. How is winning every round not impressive? Fighting against a defensive opponent is hard to look impressive
    2. More people thought Diaz won and he did
    3. Yes probably but JMM is an even better counter puncher
    4. In his prime yes, tightened up his defense? Dont think so he doesnt have the skill
    5. Not sure he has improved, his wins are hardly earth shattering
    6. (I can count)

Anyway very doubtful all those events happen, JMM is rightful favorite here, as is Ward, as is Khan

It wouldnt be the first time. They messed up Ortiz against this very opponent. Also, Daniel Jacobs comes to mind.

Dirrell is gonna give Ward hell in the opening rounds IMO but Ward will neutralize him and win 8-4.

I think Dirrell will dominate for the first 6 to 8 rounds and Ward will come on strong late but it will be too late.

You think it strange that Amir Khan is a heavy favourite with a British bookmaker over someone the British public have never heard of?

Do you know anything about bookmaking?
