At the weigh in, Katsidis uncharacteristically mouthed off BIG time at escobedo. Does anyone know a) what he said? b) why? I seen Katsidis in all his fights, very very humble and hardly says a peeep. (his trainer is a different story hahaha)
I assume that Katsidis has had his shots at world title contention and blown them and now he has to make some noise to try and get back to the contender scene so hes trash talking to make sure the titlist stand up and take notice.
Even though Escobedo is from Woodland, about 40 minutes from where I grew up. I am rooting for Katisidis, I saw Escobedo fight last year and he so lacked a killer instinct. I was really unimpressed, why people made such a big deal about him. If he beats Katsidis I will give him his due, but I predict a hard night for Vicente.
This will be a hell of a fight. But Micheal was just trying to psyche Vicente up.He prolly by the looks of things said something like ''I'm gonna put you to sleep'' or something.Escobedo fired right back. Quite interesting to see,never seen either in this particlar situation altough Casamayor provoked Katsidis.
Katsidis may yet do the same ! If he fights the style he did against Earl/Amonsot/Casamayor he will win If he fights like he did against Juan Diaz/Ramirez he will lose
