thanks for that:good they seem to think Katsidis or Prescott but there was many other scenarios as well.Katsidis might take an extended break i think.Khan would be a bad fight for him IMO but still if he hits Khan with a shot like the one he dropped JMM with who knows.

Source: Herald Sun THE Michael Katsidis camp is waiting to see whether Britain's WBA light welterweight champion Amir Khan will deliver on a suggested offer for an April fight in England. Khan is looking for an opponent for an April 16 show in Manchester but he previously said Australia's former WBO interim lightweight champion Katsidis wasn't in the mix of potential opponents. However, he appears too have changed his mind, as he strives to lock in an opponent for his next title defence. "We want it all done next week and we're getting in touch with Katsidis' people on Monday," website ***********.com reported Khan as telling British pay television network Sky Sports. Katsidis' manager and trainer Brendon Smith said he wasn't expecting a call until tomorrow at the earliest from Khan's American representatives Golden Boy Promotions. Katsidis, who suffered an honourable ninth-round stoppage loss to Mexican superstar Juan Manuel Marquez last November, would relish the chance to fight Khan. "Everyone knows it has been of interest to us and we have negotiated once before to fight Amir Khan last year," Smith told AAP. "There's been a couple of occasions there that the fight just hasn't happened because the offer has been lower. "Amir Khan said Michael didn't want to fight him and we got a little bit upset about it, because it wasn't about the fight, it was about the money. "I'm happy to talk if they want to try and make the fight.. Smith pointed out Katsidis was already well known in England after defeating Britons Graham Earl and Kevin Mitchell in two exciting bouts on previous visits to that country. "Michael has so many fans in England, it will be the greatest fight put together for a long time in England, should it happen," Smith said. "The only reason why it won't happen is Amir Khan, so we'll see whether they call tomorrow or whether it's a ploy to try and get one of these other boys, that haven't got the exposure or the name of Michael, to try and get one of them to sign a deal." Smith revealed Katsidis had another potential option for an April fight should the clash with Khan not materialise. "We've been discussing a couple of opponents for April 9 at the MGM in Las Vegas, we'll just wait and see...we expect Michael will fight between April and May somewhere," Smith said. "We'd love a rematch with Juan Manuel Marquez, but I have been told there is not a lot of interest there on the Marquez side, because he was hurt very bad in the fight.". Smith said Katsidis, who is based in America, had been very upset by reports of flooding in his home town of Toowoomba, though his family were not directly affected. big mistake IMO Kats should stay at 135.Khan would open his face up.but if he takes this fight good luck to him hopefully he can do a Bredis Presscott.
id give mick a punchers chance against Khan but not much else... Khan is too big and strong at 140 and will just fight from the outside all night... still Mick can swarm better than Maidana and doesnt run out of steam until the final bell
same.i think this fight would end in a stoppage KO or cuts but i will be cheering for the upset if it happens.
I'm starting to dislike this Brendan Smith "We'd love a rematch with Juan Manuel Marquez, but I have been told there is not a lot of interest there on the Marquez side, because he was hurt very bad in the fight.". JMM doesn't want a rematch because it's not in his best interests money wise, he wants Pac man or another high profile opponent to cash in at this late stage. I imagine JMM would have no problem fighting Kats again but he's beaten him and there wld really be no interest in a rematch. End of Story. BTW - Khan beats Katsidis He should stick to 135lbs
he was hurt quite bad from that knockdown shot, but brendan just forgot to mention that marquez recovered from it, lol.
