    From maxboxing:

    "KAT’S BACK

Michael Katsidis is back in the gym and beginning preparations for his next bout, no matter who it comes against. He and his trainer/manager Brendan Smith were at the Wild Card this week and sparred six rounds on Wednesday. The cuts he suffered from his bloody war against Czar Amonsot in July seemed to have healed up just fine.

Both Katsidis and Smith seem to have no problem about the 20-80 split they would have to take in order to face lightweight champion Juan Diaz (no, it's not Joel Casamayor). They believe what's most important is the opportunity to face 'the Baby Bull' and that they will be more than fairly compensated after they come out victorious.

    Now that's the fighting spirit.

The purse bid for Diaz-Katsidis takes place on Tuesday."

That's a warrior mentality in Katsidis for agreeing with this split. I'll be rooting for him just for taking the fight. JMM... This is how you should do it.

jmm shouldn't. katsidis has not fought anybody significant and is just the interim champ. he was almost stopped by a class b fighter in amonsot. he deserves a 20% as juan diaz is the one taking all the risks here, diaz is the unified champ.

jmm has a draw against pac and a wins against notable challengers and, therfore, must not, in any way, accept a 20% purse against anybody.

if jmm accepts a 20% purse, it should not be called figting spirit. it should be called supidity. laying his body on the line with not enough reward for him and his family is stupid at this point of his career.

are you even serios pacd? you think jmm deseves just 20%?

JMM is at the end of his career, a loss for him could mean retirement. For example if Pac knocks him out in 1 round thats it for him. Besides he is a legend, he has accomplishments, is a titlist and a name in boxing. Katsidis can lose to baby bull and wont suffer much, he can regroup and come back easily.

Understandable. :yep Kats need to grab all the opportunities to make a name for himself. Win or lose here, depending on how he perform . . . he'll get the exposure he needed and recognition.

BTW . . . 80/20 is unreal . . . so realisitcally it will be higher than that.

That would be a total war if it happens.

If JMM agrees to 40-60, I believe the fight would have been already made very long ago.

When JMM said he agreed to a paycut, it is a bull**** statement that almost meant nothing. he could very well meant paycut from 60%.

cant believe some people are bagging out kat,,for him taking the fight,,i think its fair, and the rewards will come to him 10 fold if victorious,,,,,,a lot of other fighters should take note,,and if its to risky for other fighters,,then retire,

    J Diaz= Accomplished, young, Exciting & undefeated.-80%

    Katsidis= Very exciting, young & undefeated.-20%

Pac= ATG, HOFamer, P4P #2, Most exciting, The biggest Draw in the lower wt class, average attendance - 14K ticket buyers, sells 220-350K PPV.

JMM= HOF, p4p #3, Not exciting, most of the time boring, not a Draw, Average attendance in a fight - 2.5K, sells 30K-225 PPV.

30/70 should be reasonable for JMM-Pac. 40-60 for me is isn't fair for Pac.

Judah take $100K against Spinks who takes $1.2M, that's just less than 10%. He was rewarded by the Title & a shot at PBF & Cotto although he takes a beating in those fights.:yep

Come on JMM.... Show us you are a warrior....Take 30-70 cut.
