I put a thread up here awhile back that said Michael "The Great" Katsidis was going to be the top lightweight in the near future, if if he wins tonight I think he will be on his way. After "Baby Bulls" lackluster performance against Campbell I think Katsidis will be on his way sooner than I thought. Diaz is overrated anyway. What round will Katsidis KO Casamayor?

    Cassamayor tko Katsidis in 8!

You won't even recognize Katsidis face after the fight. Look at the stiff (Czar) that almost beat Katisidis in his last fight.

Yeah... Casamayor has the tools to beat Katsidis... but Katsidis will pressure him too much I feel.

Casamayor could've been a great fighter. But he's done drugs, hasn't been serious in training, etc. Hence, he very often has "off nights"... I don't think you can get an "off night" vs. Katsidis.

Casamayor is inconsistent as a mother.

Katsidis is a wonderfully entertaining fighter but he's going to end up with some nasty scar tissue damage and possibly worse from the way he fights.

An attacking style and warrior mentality is great for the audience, but for the man himself it seems to ensure his career will be all over sooner rather than later. He's already been knocked down and torn up and badly needs to take his foot off the gas a little to develop a better defence.

I think he'll beat Casamayor, but it won't surprise me if he has to soak up some unnecessary damage to do so.

A prime Casamayor would have stopped Kat but on recent performances I can not see anything but a brutal stoppage with Casamayor having to retire mid fight. Cas does not have the legs or skill anymore to keep aggresive types off him and Kat is maybe one of the most aggresive guys currently in the sport.

Katsidis is facing a fighter who what he lacks in ability nowadays is made up for with moxy, ring generalship and dirty tactics. Expect Joel to go for broke and try to really make a lasting impression here.

Of course Michael will get cut at some point and the fight will have a few moments where you think it'll be stopped.

It'll be a war....and I think Katsidis will eek one out.

He's the next Arturo Gatti in terms of soaking up punishment.

Katsidis has a nice viewer friendly style but that's about it. He won't be around for long and he isn't the most skilled. Exciting though...guys like him bring in the casual viewer.

hes a warrior&exciting but i think that when he meets a good boxer hes in trouble, that may or may not come against casamayor.

I am not going to get ahead of myself on this one. Paul Williams 0 gone, Juan Diaz 0 gone, Andy Lee 0 gone, John Duddy almost gone... Expect Katsidis to win but like Cus D'Amato said, that great old fighter may have that last great effort in him. Katsidis is a great fighter and there's no doubts now that he would have given a hell of a fight to Baby Bull.

I think Katsidis may have to hit casamayor with that helmet he comes into the ring with in order to stop the clubbing he will recieve. I expect casamayor to make him look silly with his better boxing skills.
