[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"Now Juan Diaz will know why he is afraid of the dark" was the only comment offered by WBO interim lightweight Mike Katsidis even writing it on the bottom of the contract before it was sent to WBO headquarters and Golden Boy Promotions. "I still have not received confirmation that Juan has signed but do expect that he will and not allow the WBO to strip him as that is exactley what they will do if he does not sign today," quoted manager/trainer Brendon Smith. "Febuary 9 is the date and we are looking forward to this fight and everyone will know Michael as 'Katsidis the Great' from then on!" Smith continued "I have the perfect name for this promotion 'Honour' in respect to the 80/20 split that was awarded to Juan Diaz. It wasn't possible for Juan to become super champion if it wasn't for the agreeance of Micheal to allow him to have one more fight and therefore if Juan is a genuine human being, which I know he is, out of his 1.2 million dollars he should give Michael $200,000 on top of Michaels $300,000 at least!. This fight should be a 50/50 split, but let's see."

lol how mad is that Mike even decided to throw in that line by James Earl Jones that i used in this trailer which is how we came to know eachother.

CAN'T WAIT! Should be a war.

Mundine and his crew were the problem mate, Everytime he has fought on the Mundine undercard you know what he gets paid $0 and that is the deadset truth.

Thats why he has to fund and pay those fights for himself but he had to do it to get his face on tv and noticed around Australia.

There not the problem mate, there just looking after No1 and it is foxtel there the ones with the money. Diaz has the balls he will fight anybody and he should take the fight, I see Don KIng being the main road block for this fight.

Mate you know i have spoken to mike about this about why he doesnt fight more on the big Aussie fight cards and he made it very clear when he fought on the Mundine undercard because Choc got the big cut there was nothing left for anyone else which explains why his undercards are garbage and that is sad but totally true.

Mike just said he was not Mundine fault but he knew about this and it all came down to the promoter which is Mundines boy as I am sure you know he sets up the fights on each Mundine undercard and cuts the deal with the fighters about what the will earn.

It has nothing to do with Foxtel when it comes to setting up the fight cards.

As for THE DON and DIAZ i doubt the fight will take palce because Diaz will overlook kat as many have and will give up the title and fight someone else which is sad really because this fight could be a all out war.

Boys this bout was brought up in the general forum and as predicted the wanker yanks etc dribbled on how kats has fought nobody and has paper thin skin.

I tried to tell them that the amongst bout was the first time he has ever had any real serious probs with cuts and that he is a fighter that does get hit alot but thats his stlye, take a few to get off a few big ones of his own..

I eventually gave up as i was attacked from all angles by the yanks, latinos and the odd no it all philo..

I love the fact that they have seen like 1 or 2 fights of his career(earl and amongst) but they know it all..

The general forum aint anything but a wankfest.

diaz is a p4p fighter for me and has the skill and abilty to beat all lightweights.

but katsides power means he is one of only a very few dangerman to diaz and being that diaz stays in the pocket and is willing to take a few to give a few katsides will have his chances to land the bombs.

can he beat diaz, persoannly i do not think so, i rate diaz very highly, but if i was going to have an outside bet on any 135 fighter being able to have a shot at diaz it would be katsides over say casamayor.

its imnportant that katsides does not freeze in the fight early and lets his hands go from the get go, albeit not go wild but have a steady flow of bombs and jabs.

As much as I'd love it to be true, I honestly dont think it will happen. Diaz can make more money fighting other people.

I know what you are saying, but you know how this works and Mundine is in the position of power because the people are paying to see him not the undercard fighters and foxtel flat out don't care as long it makes money.

of course mate Foxtel and mainevent have proven that by screwing many fans over the many years by not screening some great Mega fights and the excuse they always use is the same WE WERE NOT OFFERED THE FIGHT which is crap because i caught them out with the Kessler v Calzaghe fight when they were offered it and told me otherwise.

earl gets stopped in 74 seconds against khan, yes maybe the war with katisidis took it out of him but jeese, too loose that quickly, personally i think katsidis doesnt have a chance against diaz, yes hes got power but diaz is just too good and wont let katsidis get off first..... katsidis should try a fight with khan who is chinny but brings very good money to the table also.....

Mate we all know Frank Warren wont put khan in the ring with a bloke like katsidis.

Dont get me wrong i know what your saying but Khan will continue to fight blokes who look like a slight threat(eg..earl)but really aint going to trouble him too much..

Kats would be too tough of a fight for khan at this stage of his u.k hype tour...He aint going to fight any1 with a 50/50 chance of beating him for atleast another 3-5 fights..

Only my opinion but think im on the money.

Frank Warren is a grub but he is a smart grub who aint going to jepordise his 21year old money making machine. He will atleast milk him for a few more years before exposing him to a tough latin fighter.

We all seen what happened to Prince Naseem when he actually took on top of the tree competition.Schooled baby..

And showed his fighters heart by retiring.True legend.:|

That bit about Hamed is such f*cking bullsh*t. He was a multiple world champion with a string of 16 defences behind him, against guys like McCullough, Kelly, Vasquez, Ingle and Medina. Hardly bums. The Barrera fight wasn't even that much of a blow out, it sh*ts me when people make out that he suddenly got exposed. If that isn't a boxing legend then I don't know what is. The only reason Kahn would have to avoid Kat is because of his dubious chin. Kahn has all the skills to THOROUGHLY out box Kat.
