    From the scene of boxing:

Katsidis Challenges Juan Diaz, The Baby Bull Accepts

    By Mark Vester

WBO interim lightweight champion Michael Katsidis has challenged Juan Diaz to a rematch on March 27. While Katsidis has reached an agreement to fight Robert Guerrero on the HBO televised date, he appears to be willing to drop that fight in order to rematch Diaz. Katsidis lost to Diaz by way of a split-decision in 2008.

"I propose to come to Houston on March 27 and put everything I have gained on the line," Katsidis said. "Juan, this is your opportunity and I ask for a public response within the next 24 hours to show your willingness to accept this challenge."

Diaz's manager Willie Savannah has officially accepted the fight but it's not likely that HBO will be interested in this fight. They have their mind set on Katsidis fighting Guerrero and Marcos Maidana fights Victor Cayo in the co-feature of that card. They would likely drop Katsidis off the card if he withdraws from fighting Guerrero.

"Juan Diaz responds to Micheal Kadsidis challenge! Juan Baby Bull Diaz will gladly accept the challenge of Micheal Kadsidis for a rematch! Diaz has been impressed with Kadsidis last couple of performances and feels like this would be a great fight! Let's do it! Make it happen! - Savannah said.

I honestly dont think this is a good move by Kats. I'll be hoping he wins but losing again will hurt his chances of big fights in the future.

Tend to agree...Diaz just fights better on the inside than Kats

If Kats can't be Diaz this time round he's never going to beat the belt holders. He needs to punch on & forget about trying to outbox him.
