Is Katsidis ready for Diaz? Should he be having one more fight against someone a level above amonsot? I'm hoping he wins, but Diaz isn't gonna be easy to get out of there. Very dangerous matchup for katsidis's who looks like he needs just a bit more grooming ...
There is a 99.9% chance Diaz will win this and Im an aussie, a fan of Katsidas (and Diaz for the record) and I certainly think Juan is beatable. 1 more fight against a top opponant for Katsidas wouldnt make much of a difference to the result IMO, all I know is that it is a win win situation for Katsidas. He gets a real big payday, a chance to show himself on a main event in the U.S and no matter what, I think it will be a great fight that the fans will love both fighters for. Bring it on I reckon.
I think alot of people really under estimate Katsidis after his perfromance on HBO, i think he just wanted to put on a show so much and get a K.O he didnt show that hes not a bad boxer. I think Diaz will win but you guys will have alot more respect for Katsidis when the fights over! Diaz is a slugger to so if it becomes a street fight Katsidis can win!
Amonsot does not fight like Diaz. Mick looked **** in that fight but it was clear he had a problem with the southpaw and Amonsot was countering on the backfoot. Diaz does not do this, he is much much better than amonsot but he may well give Katsidas more chances to do his thang. Diaz still wins it though.
I am still of the belief that you cannot win a decision against Juan Diaz. The combination of his sheer relentlessness and aggressiveness, punch output, and the distinct sound effects he makes after he each punch :yep just makes it too hard to score a round against him. You obviously can't outwork the dude. You have to knock this guy out to win! Katsidis might have the tools to do it, but people overrate his power IMO.. I think Diaz batters him to a pulp. Diaz 10th round TKO.
most of the fans believe diaz will finish him of in less than 10 rounds including me! but I hope katsidis can pull an upset. I give him only max of 5% chance of winning!!!
Katsidas has no defense. He reminds me of another Aussie, Jeff Harding. Harding won a few pretty significant fights , including an alphabet belt , just like Katsidas has, but soon got burnt out from taking too much punishment.I see Mike going the same way. He has balls for taking on Diaz, but he'll take a pounding and go off into obscurity just like Harding did.
