I know there is gonna be a long lay off for Mike but do you see Nate wanting to fight this guy. He wouldnt stop tonight and I know hell work over Nate even though his management claims otherwise.

Yes both 135 lightweight and Nate's manager was saying how he was hoping for a quick win by Mike so that they could fight each other

Great fight, but "The Great" is going to need at least three months just to heal that left eye. The right wasn't looking too good either.

That filipino is a better fighter at this point and time than campbell.
    Katsidis will knock nate out!

You definitely didn't see Peden stop Nate twice. The second fight off-tv in Australia was a BS stoppage on cuts, when Peden was damn near ready to go. After the fight, the doctor pulled 14 strands of hair out of Nate's cuts from Peden's head butts. I'm guessing you never saw the fight. As for the first Peden fight, even though the ref was counting by 2's, and Nate still beat the count, I can't argue it because Nate gave Peden the shot in the first place. His fault. No protest here.

But Nate at 135 is a completely different fighter than the Nate that was still killing himself to make 130 in the Casamayor and Peden fights. Nate would do to Katsidis the same thing he did to Kid Diamond. Take him to school, bust him up, break him down, and get rid of him.

But all this is just talk. I was hoping Katsidis would have a quick out last night, so we could try to do Nate vs. Katsidis as the co-feature to Diaz vs. Diaz, but no way Katsidis busted up face will be ready by Oct. And if Amonstot, who was really supposed to be just a showcase fight for Katsidis can do that to his face, what exactly do you think a true elite fighter like Nate, or Casa, or Diaz, would do to him?

Don't get me wrong, I like this kid Katsidis. I'm a fan first, and a promoter second. I really enjoy watching this kid fight. As a fan, I hope to see more of him. And as a promoter, I sure hope the circumstances present themselves for me to get my fighter (Campbell) in with this kid.

I'd pick Campell by points. Katsidis is strong but Campell is fast and very smart. That would be good fight like each with Katsidis :yep

This is actually a good match-up. I like Campbell from a styles standpoint, but he's what 35 or so now? Could he physically keep up with a young aggresive guy like Katsidis? Campbell handled Diamond and he does remind you a bit of Katsidis, but they apply pressure in different ways. Diamonds is a more measured type of pressure while Katsidis seems to be more non-stop aggression. If Campbell could deal with Katsidis' workrate and intensity than he outboxes Katsidis to a decision. If he can't than he probably gets stopped late. Fight won't happen in October on the Diaz-Diaz undercard and that's a shame. Hopefully Campbell fights a solid to good fighter that night if its the televised undercard. Some good fights can be made at 135.

I think Katsidis would walk through Cambell at 135 but Katsidis is always open for that big shot so it would make for a great fight . I think Diaz cleans the both of them up pretty easily though

I've heard it all now, Terry. Peden ready to go? Certainly didn't look like it from my seat at ringside. As for the 14 strands of hair, did you have them DNA tested? Come on, don't try and take nothing away from Peden. Nate wasn't in his league that night in Melbourne and he knows it.

As for the first fight, counting by two's...don't make me laugh. It's a good thing the referee had the common sense to stop that fight otherwise things might have gotten unhealthy for Nate.

To his credit, the Galaxxy Warrior has bounced back, the sign of a true fighter.

What a load of bull****. First fight Campbell threw it away, second fight it was taken away legitimately. Campbell was schooled in the second fight and he knew it. :yep Peden ready to go? Yeah right - he already gone to town on Campbell the whole bout. Was Campbell trying to make it best out of three and ****ed up his maths?:rofl

Peden broke your man fair and square both fights - and you look a sore loser saying otherwise.

BS. Complete BS. Even the Aussie newspapers had to admit that the ref was horrible. SIX TIMES the ref brought the doc up to try and get it stopped. Never ruled any of Nate's cuts as headbutts. Not to mention Nate hits Peden on the chin and they take a point for a low blow.

And as for the hair, well it wasn't Nates, so that only leaves Robbie or the referee. Although I wouldn't be suprised if the ref headbutted Nate in that fight. He might as well have, he did everything else.

Anyone reading this just needs to see the fight for themselves and be their own judge. Anyone who thinks this was a fairly staged contest has blinders on.

Good matchup and I'd love too see it happne. I think Nate outboxes Katsidis to a UD win.
