I wanna know everyone's thoughts on the round 8 point deductions. I'll admit, during the fight, I was caught up in the moment, and lost my mind when the ref started deducting from Kats. I was literally so upset I almost threw up. I was that pissed. I felt the 8th round was Katsidis' best offensive round, and really thought he was hurting Guerrero. I also felt the ref stepped in too fast. After seeing the replay, there were some obvious low blows, but I still felt the ref was being over bearing to the point of completely stopping any momentum Kats had built, and make him not want the throw any more body shots. Maybe I was pulling so much for Kats I just wanted to believe the 8th could've been a turning point in favor of Katsidis, and want to blame it on the ref for the fact it wasn't... So back to my point, what were your thoughts on the 8th round? (How you felt before and after the replays).
I feel the same way about it now that I did watching it live. The referee injected himself a bit too much into that fight. The point later taken from Guerrero was an obvious make up call for the unnecessary deduction from Katsidis.
As for that round yeah he won it and did hurt Guerrero but he still took a beating in the entire fight and lost. I thought those low blows were hurting Guerrero much more than those body shots.
**** ref got bored in that fight and jumped all ovedr the only opportunity he had to inject himself into the fight. ****.
Yea the point he took from Guerrero made me even more mad, it just solidified he was making pre-mature deductions. I hope That kind of **** should cause a ref to be blackballed within the boxing community.
