Smart money would be on Mitchell points but Katsidis seems to have improved which showed against Escobedo. Maybe Katsidis will be too big and relentless?

i have Mitchell winning a UD for what its worth.

 

Some of the best fights fly under the radar, usually much better than PPV events. This has war written all over it, if you are too stupid to only watch PPV mismatches, well then, it's your loss. You don't exactly strike me as a real boxing fan anyway.

I'm from the USA and I really want to see this fight.I think Kat stops Mitchell in the latter rounds after getting the better of it in the early going.

Kev always applys pressure later on through the fights its like he improves in the later rounds, i see the whole crowd behind him giving him an extra incentive to win, Mitchell win with 11th round KO, but not without a good few scares from Katsidis

 

i think that mitchell will actually lure katsidis into a brawl and then pick him apart with ruthless efficiency

Do you have any idea how katsidis fights?? That is that last thing Mitchell should be doing or looking to do. Brawl = KO'd Mitchell.

How good it will be will all depend on Mitchell. We all know what Kats is going to do but it depends on what Mitchell turns up. The reckless brawler or the disciplined box-puncher.

Either way it should be good with some back and forth toe-to-toe action.

As to who wins i'm not to sure. At the minute i'm slightly favouring Kats.

If this fight were to have happened last year i would have said Kats would win by mid-late round KO after a tough war. Johannson caused Mitchell a lot of problems with his pressure and had Mitchell shaken on a number of occasions and Kats is a beast compared to Johannson.

However the last couple of fights Mitchell has started showing his skills more and more importantly showing the discipline to stick to the game plan.

If Mitchell boxers to a game plan and doesn't get to involved in a dog fight then he stands a much better chance of winning. However i don't know if Mitchell is good enough to keep Kats of off him for long enough. Mitchell looked great against Presscott but lets be honest, the Khan KO flattered Presscott greatly. Presscott is as basic as they come and has been out boxed before by less than mediocre opposition. Now i know Kats is not a technician himself but he is better than Presscott and puts more pressure on his opponents.

This really is a tough one to call but i think im going to go with Katsidis. If Mitchell brawls then he gets KOed latish in a fight of the year war. If he elects to box, which i believe he will, and mix it up when he is forced to then i think Katsidis wins a tough close decision in an exciting fight
