    and that sums it up

    1) The stoppage was perfect
    2) Katsidis gave Casamayor hell, but got careless
    3) I would love to see the rematch, but Casa is too old for this ****
    4) I want to see more of Katsidis, very exciting fighter he is

Personally, I think Katsidis has ZERO skills. I mean crude with a capital C. I've seen enough of him.

Good idea Goose, a rematch between these two would be awesome. After they've had a little time to rest after such a grueling fight, which might give Katsidis a little time to work on his craft a little, to stop making so many rookie mistakes.

Time to work on what? Like figuring out how to box? It's a little late for that.

Katsidis is an exciting young guy with a lot of potential. I have no doubt that he'd be able to improve, and at the very least administer a better gameplan rather than constantly charging in and being reckless.

He would be well served to utilize the jab more on his way in. I think he can have a bright future. Not everyone he fights will be as tough as Casa. Joel is still a tough nut to crack, even at 36.

Well, I hope so too otherwise he'll be braindead before 40. He takes WAAAY too many head shots.

Katsidas has a lot of ability but is lacking in the corner, he got reckless and got caught but he is a tough kid. Casa has always been an excellent fighter but Katsids gave him the fight, a Buddy Mcgirt would do wonders for the KId but he should have had him before this fight. with only 23 fights vs no ones, they threw this kid in with an old lion but in the end it was Kat who gave away a win, he was ahead on the cards, no need to be reckless

Absolutely. Without coming in with the jab, he leaves himself open to being countered every time he comes in. The best fighters will always be able to take advantage of that, regardless of how much of an offensive dynamo Katsidis is. It lost him the fight tonight.

Casa versus Nate to decide who is the man at 135... for '08, before one or the other gets decapitated by Anthony Peterson.

Casa is one of my favorite fighters and I am glad he won, but Michael impressed me with the heart the showed tonight. He has a new fan in me.

I thought Brendan Smith did a good job of keeping Michael Katsidis composed actually.

Brendan is 1 of our top young trainers.
