I watched the fight tonight and the ref stopped it while Katsidis was still throwing punches which is something a ref should never do. Katsidis was winning the fight, got caught, the was hit again but threw punches back. Casamayor was knocked out of the ring, was badly hurt, got hit a lot, yet the ref did not stop it while "he" was hurt. I think Katsidis could have continued. Katsidis said he could have continued, he was throwing punches, ref jumped in and stopped the fight. Give a fighter a chance for god's sake.

I think he can become a world champion and should get a rematch.

Katsidas shouldnt even be allowed to continue after that knockdown, he was still very shaky and the ref was giving him way too much time.

Mate you are a complete moron....i love kats and wanted him to win but i thought the ref did a bad job letting him continue after the first KO in the 10th. Clearly the safety of the fighter was not adhered to after that shot. Kats was absolutely gone and basically admitted to it at the post fight interview.

Great comback from Katsidis after rd2 and we are all proud of him. Fact remains........ the fight wasn't stopped too soon.

At the end of the 9th Kats argued with his corner about what round it was. He kept saying that it was the 11th and in my opinion appeared distressed.

It reminded me of Danny Green who said sorry for losing after the Sean Sullivan fight (which he won) due to dehydration + exhaustion.

It was no surprise to see him rush into a JC bomb next round, he was swinging wildly and was fighting on instinct. The fight should have been stopped after that knockdown.

Shut up, you sad racist *****.

I am a massive Hatton fan and have had to endure your pathetic threads about how Hatton was cheated out of a win by Cortez, when clearly despite the ref being **** PBF was too good.

You only ever support white fighters and any chance you get you disparage black fighters because you are a dick. And a dick who never actually replies to anyones posts.

this is what i'm trying to say at the general forum. katsidis didn't complain and his biggest fans did not complain either so anyone who says otherwise is automatically wrong.

if that fight was stopped and katsidis argued because he knew he still had it in him to continue, then go ahead. say it was a bad stoppage. but look at katsidis' face and you'll see that after the ref put his arms around him, he knew he was done and he took it like a man.

    props to him for that.

It was a great fight and fair stoppage......rocky was gone and almost fell on the ref when trying to start again from the knock down...then he walked into 4 clean shots in a row so it was a fair stoppage in my view.

It wasnt stopped too soon IMO.

Katsidis was very sloppy defense wise the whole fight and he will keep getting caught out unless he drastically changes his style (of course without losing that agressiveness).

I was disappointed in the way he fought, mainly in terms of protecting himself. Dont get me wrong - I loved the action (and wasnt disappointed with that) and think Kat is tops but I think he could have delivered nearly the same amount of action without always leaving himself open so much.

But either way, all credit to a great fighting spirit that encapsulates what all aussie fighters are about. Fenech, Tszyu, Briggs, Soliman, Kat - they all have that war-like never-say-die attitude that us aussies are famous for.

I have been in the Aussie forum before, not often but every now and again. I was just reading the different forums and saw Farmboxers pathetic thread and had to respond.
