    The japanese Katsunari Takayama 34-9-0 (12KOs) 41 years old can write the history the 18th december because he will be the first japanese champion in the 5 federations of boxing in his career he is a former WBO, WBA, WBC, IBF Minimumweight champions.

    His opponent will be Khan Lu a undefeated australian boxers 7-0-0 (3 KOs).


    It will be the 18th December in the Philippines for the vacant IBO world belt in Minimumweight.

    Really thought Takayama was retired tbh. The Lightning Kid is now the Lightning Grandpa.

    Made a quiet comeback last year and won two fights. Kinda been MIA since. I am surprised that he is trying his hand at 105 again, given his age and time out of the ring.

    Yes normally he was retired but he have another opportunity for a world title so he will make another fight...

    Katsunari Takayama won by UD he is now the IBO World Champion in Minimumweight he was the champion in the 5 federations (WBO, WBA, WBC, IBF and now IBO) of boxing in Minimumweight.

    Have you gotten to watch it yet? Tak honestly looked incredible for his age.

    Lu isn't a bad fighter per se, just wasn't ready for this step up - and his height & reach are always going to hurt him against world class opponents.
