Did anyone notice the amount of elbow Katz threw with his limp left that slid into an elbow? He threw three in a row and Kenny said nothing.
i saw that...he was throwing them the whole fight...he tries to knuckle up on the right hook, but everyone knows that's a trick used in case the hook misses the elbow will hit.......luckily marquez stayed in close and didnt allow for it....
I was thinking the same thing. He throws those punches strange so that he can follow up with the elbow. It's actually one of the first things some of the less-kosher trainers I've had taught me when I started boxing.

the elbows he was throwing NEVER touched Marquez's face. Kats did nothing illegal it was just a awkward punch style for the inside game.
Oh yea. My respects to Katsidis, but he probably threw more elbows than punches. I thought he was getting frustrated from getting outboxed by JMM and was resorting to those tactics. I'm surprised he wasn't warned for that. Either way, great fight and good stoppage.
I definitely noticed it with the right. It was really awkward looking. Every time he threw the right hook he would shoot his right elbow up like a ****ing chicken wing or something. It honestly looked like it was taking away from the power of the right hook.
Katsidis has poor technique with his right hand. He isnt throwing elbows or even trying to land with his elbow. It's just how he throws his right, you'll notice JMM wasnt caught by an elbow at all because Katsidis often doesnt follow through with it.
